After the game, the second floor common room could be found bedecked with gold and blue streamers and a banner hanging on one wall that said "GO GREMLINS" in large letters.

There were also set up tables with food and drink ~~so handwavily~~ set up by the cheerleaders and a stereo playing the cheerleaders' practice music mix at an acceptable volume.

It was a victory party! No matter who won.

Willow's face lit up. "You can tell? Oh yay!"

This got him a hug.

Peter hugged her back and may have sneaked a kiss on her cheek in. "When I look at it, certainly. How silly would I have to be not to know Narnia at least? How did you know though? This what you talked to Su about?"

Willow nodded. "This was the surprise. Was it a good surprise? I know the stitches are all messy but I was sewing until oh my god in the morning."

"It was a brilliant surprise," Peter said. "I can't think of the last time someone was so lovely." He grinned. "And like I know anything about sewing to know if the stitches were messy or not."

"Yes, because you are a boy who couldn't tell me what color he wanted!" Willow teased, reaching over to tickle him on the side.

"I didn't care about the colour," Peter squeaked as he tried to move away from the tickling. "I just hoped you would be there."

Well now she was all melted. "Awh!"

"I speak only the truth," Peter said with a smile.

"How could you possibly think that I wouldn't be there?" Willow asked. "I had to support you! You're my knight!"

"I didn't think that you wouldn't," Peter pointed out. "I hoped that you would. It's a completely different thing."

"Oh. Well okay then." Willow settled down. She smiled at him. "I thought you were wonderful. Best player out there!"

"Thank you," Peter said, covering a grin. "I though you were the best cheerleader."

"I wasn't a cheerleader," Willow said. "I was a fan."

"You cheered," Peter said. "I don't see a difference."

"Outfits," Willow explained. She gestured to herself. "See? My normal Willowness."

"Which is plenty lovely in itself," Peter said. "But if you insist, you were the best fan in the stands."

Willow grinned and nudged him with her shoulder. "I had inspiration."

"It's a circle then," Peter replied, nudging her back. "Because I had inspiration to play well."

"I'm sorry you lost," Willow said. She reached over to brush her fingers against his hair. "You did lose, right? I didn't get confused on the scores?"

"We lost," Peter agreed. "We'll win next time though. It was a good game."

"I'll cheer even harder next time," Willow promised. "You could even have a new hanky if you wanted."

"I like this one," Peter said, looking down at it.

"That was the right thing to say," Willow told him. She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Peter grinned. "Good. As it's also the truthful one, this works out well." He glanced around the room quickly to make sure no one was too close and kissed her lips lightly.

Willow grinned at the snuck kiss. "I have more surprises."
