Bridge is sitting on the floor in front of RIC, and typing.... on the carpet? He pauses every so often to glance at a small LCD screen that's sitting off to one side.

He may look busy, but he's totally interruptable.

"What?" Bridge blinks. "Oh. Yes, he's supposed to be a robot."

"Then I don't think it's a bad thing," Alec says, eyeing Bridge for a moment before he smirks. "You do a lot of mechanical work?"

"Yeah!" Bridge grins enthusiastically.

"And I take it you really like it." Alec's smirk becomes a grin, hard-pressed to be too weirded out by Bridge when the guy's being kind of bouncy. "Hobby or career option?"

"Hobby, mostly," Bridge says. "Defending the planet is my future job."

"From what?" He asks, curious.

"Right now? The biggest threat to the known galaxies is the Troobian Empire. They've already destroyed several planets, and are heading on a path that'll eventually lead right to Earth."

Alec frowns, but then remembers he's met aliens here at Fandom. "So big bad aliens. How long till they get here?"

"Six, seven years, according to my CO. But- that's in my time- counting from now, it's more like twenty years till they get here."
