5th floor Commonroom: Saturday Afternoon (After cheer practice)

Pippi had intended to make breakfast this morning, but she slept in and had cheer practice.

So, pancakes for lunch.

The tele is on...

We're Immature Radioactive Samurai Slugs
We love to thrash criminals and slice 'n' dice thugs!
We're totally radical, gnarly dudes,
Cowabunga homeboys with nothin' to lose ...

Our arch-enemies want us iodized
But they can't beat us 'cause we're merchandised!

(Iodizer: "DESTROY THEM!!")

Count off!

    Picasso!
    Warhol!
    Rockwell!
    Grandma Moses!

So kick back, dweebs, it's the end of our rhyme,
The show's gonna start and it's time to slime!

"They didn't have television in my time either. It's brilliant, but fairly odd, I think," Peter said.

"We didn't even have the electriciffy or plumbing in my time," Joxer said. "How far back are you from?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"1940, only about 70 years ago," Peter replied. "And another place that's probably more at the level of techonology you're used to. Only with magic."

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Please, you don't think we didn't have magic?" Joxer laughed. "I didn't tell you that a god sent me here, did I?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Really," Peter said, consideringly. "You didn't tell me that, no."

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well I did," Joxer said. "So we had magic too. The gods wouldn't really be gods without it."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"I suppose not," Peter said, still deep in thought. "Is the god who sent you here your guardian or is he taking revenge on you for something?"

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"He or she owed my dad a favor," Joxer said. "I still don't know who it was. My dad told me to pack, and next thing I know... Bam. I'm here."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I know that tale," Peter replied with a nod. "My guardian told me that he was sending me to school then here I was."

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Wow," Joxer said. "We have more in common than I thought."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter nodded, not trusting his words for a first response. "Could be, could be."

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Joxer patted Peter on the back. "If I didn't already have a fake brother here, I would ask you to be one too," he said. "But I think Jamie would feel less special if I did that."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Err, thank you, Joxer," Peter said. "As Jamie's a Stickbug Brother, I'd not want him to feel less special. I'll settle for a friend if you like."

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I already thought you were one of those," Joxer said. He smiled and pointed his thumb towards the door. "I should probably get going. I got something I need to take care of."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter nodded back. "Indeed. I'll see you later then."
