Pippi had intended to make breakfast this morning, but she slept in and had cheer practice.

So, pancakes for lunch.

Following his nose, Peter ended up in the Common Room. He grinned when he saw Pippi. "Good afternoon! What are you cooking?"

"Pancakes!" she answered waving her spatula. "Would you like some?"

"Absolutely," Peter said. "They smell wonderful. Anything I can do to help?"

Pippi nods over to a bowl and some ingredients on the counter.

"Crack some eggs into that bowl and add *handwavy ingredients* for more batter?"

Hermione is wandering around at the moment, and ends up on the fifth floor. She frowns at the television for a moment, but gives a "Hello," anyway.

Pippi isn't really paying attention to the TV as she's still makin' pancakes. She looks over to the new person.

"Hi!" she says cheerfully. "Um... I'm very sorry but I don't think we've met. I'm Pippi!"

"I don't think we have, either," she says. "I'm Hermione. Late breakfast?"

"Nice to meet you Hermione." she nodded. "I'd shake your hand, but they're a little covered in batter. And nope, just making lunch. Would you like some?"

"Good day, Hermione," Peter greeted her with a small bow and a grin. "How goes it?"

"Hello, Peter," she greets him with a smile. "I'm... good. How are you?" Good is relative.

Peter tilted his head with concern at the hesitation over 'good' but didn't comment. He made a face in response to her question and looked down at the mess on the counter. "I'm learning that cracking eggs? Harder than it looks."

Joxer scratched the side of his nose, and mulled over a thought for a few seconds before greeting Hermione.

"I don't know you," he said. "Hi."

"Hello," she says. "I'm Hermione. And you are?"

"Joxer the Mighty," he says, flexing a little. "Warrior, entertainer, and hero of all."

Joxer wandered into the common room and tilted his head at the TV. "Sometimes, I really don't get this thing."

"Sometimes, it's a mystery to us all." Pippi agreed flipping a pancake.

Joxer sniffed for a second. "Whatever you're cooking, it smells great," he said.

"Pancakes!" she explained. "Would you like some? I can mix in some fruit if ya like."

"I think that feeling is universal," Peter said with a nod. "Good day."

Joxer nodded back at Peter. "Hi," he said. "I can totally say I've not insulted anyone today, girl or otherwise."

Pip walked in, followed by Merdebaise. He slumped into a couch. "You have no idea how long it took me to get that cat off my bed so I could sleep."

"Afternoon, Pip," Peter said with a nod. "Who's your friend?"

"This is Merdebaise," Pip said. "She attacked me, then followed me home. I guess I have a pet now whether I like it or not."

Pippi came over with a plate of pancakes for Pip and some for Merdebaise as well.
