The Gym, Early Saturday Morning (Post #1)

The gym was dark and quiet, except for two distinct and opposite corners of the gym, which were very well lit, almost as if it was intentional.

It seemed to be waiting, and a sense of anticipation filled the air. Or maybe it was the orchestra tuning up.

Danny was up and out early, feeling drawn to the gym back at the school. He lounged on the bleachers.

Doody nodded to Danny when he entered the gym. He climbed up onto the bleachers and waited.

"Lookin' good, Zuko!" Rizzo called out, peering over her sunglasses as she headed for her girls.

Putzie nodded to Danny and the guys before laying down on the bleachers. It was too early.

Kenickie headed for bleachers as soon as he made it back to school, flopping down beside Danny with a nod and a flick of his jacket collar.

The boys frightened Eugene. There were so many of them, and they were such hoodlums!

But he had to be brave. With a slight grimace, he slumped against a wall and tried to look inconspicuous.

Sonny spotted Eugene easily. "Why isn't it Eugene? Why are you standing by the wall trying to ignore us. That's not very polite."

Sonny pointed a finger at Eugene and gave him a look that said 'You better get over here and enjoy your morning wedgie.'

Jan was occupied waving to Putzie as she walked by Eugene.

Actually, she wasn't looking where she was going at all and was probably about to walk into Eugene.

Sonny came in and stood next to the rest of the guys. He pulled out a comb to pull back his hair but only ended up getting it caught in his curls.

"Man..."

Danny was still lounging. The girls seemed a long way away. It was just the boys, the bleachers and the sound of intro music waiting for the cue line.

There was Frenchy, bright and early and snapping her gum. She was toying with the ends of her ponytail and idly thinking about trying to tint it like she'd learned to do.

Or, well, failed at learning to do. Whatever.

ChaCha wandered by, but didn't speak to anyone. Because she didn't go to this school, she went to St. Bernadette's. Where the hell was Leo, anyway?

Rizzo strutted towards the bleachers, her curly hair that normally tumbled down around her shoulders swept up in an updo. She was thinking of cutting it all off. She looked around her dominion coolly through her dark shades, nodding to her minions friends as she approached.

"Good morning, Ladies."

Aeryn was going to work out. Of course as soon as she steps inside and hears the singing, there's a muttered "Oh, frell no," and she's headed out of the gym like it's contagious.

Pip walked in with his gym bag slung over his shoulder.

He blinked a few times.

Then he turned around and walked right back out again.

Meta time! Ivanova is from Babylon 5. Ivanova thinks she's Rizzo. Rizzo is going out with Kenickie. Kenickie was played by Jeff Conaway in the film, who also played Zack Allen from Babylon 5.
