Thanks to a laundry...incident, Dawn was wearing the t-shirt she'd borrowed from Dean after the Meerkat cabin theft, which was way too long for her, and the skirt she'd stolen borrowed from Buffy before she left Cleveland, which was way too short. Not unlike Buffy, come to think of it.

Just so people would think it was intentional, though, she put up a small sign, hastily written on notebook paper and stuck to the door of the common room.

In other news, she was trying to learn her domesticated canine vocabulary for class on Monday.

"I thought about bringing him some demon heads," Bel said. "To prove that I kill them. Think he'll like that?"

"Ew!" She flailed. "Where would you get them?"

"I could go to the Underworld and kill a few," Bel said.

Dawn glared at him. "Wouldn't that alert them that you're, y'know, alive?" If Bel was listening closely, he probably heard the silent 'dumbass' that followed.

"Not if I kill them first," Bel said. "Which I would."

"And you'd do this, just to prove a point?"

"...yes?"

Dawn reached out to thwap Bel on the head. "Boys!"

"Hey!" Bel complained. "I'm a demon hunter now. I want to prove it!"

"Okay, the first rule of demon hunting?" Dawn folded her arms in front of her chest, "Is not to go off by yourself and bring a load of grumpy demons down on your head."

"I'm not gonna be stupid," Bel protested. "I'll be careful."

"Bel, can't you wait until they attack? Why rush things? They'll show up, they always do." She chewed on her lower lip. "I can guarantee it."

"But then there too many people around here to claim the glory," Bel grumbled. "Besides, how can you guarantee it? More jello dragons?"

Dawn almost tried to thwap him again, but didn't want to push her luck. "Because it's Fandom, and it's almost as bad as living on a Hellmouth?"

"I hate waiting." Bel may have almost whined. "I want to do something now."

"No summoning," Dawn said immediately, "that never ends well."

"I wouldn't do that," Bel said. "But I can sneak into the Underworld. It'd be fun."

"...fun?" She stared.

"Yeah!" Bel said. "Fun. Gets the aggressions out for one thing."

"Where were you when Spike was bored?" She grumbled.

Bel shrugged. "Why, think we would've made a good team?"

Dawn nodded. "Oh, yeah. Or you would have killed each other, but had a lot of fun doing it."

"Me neither," she giggled, "but Spike was very different once he had to kill demons and vampires for entertainment."

"That's a plus," Bel said. "Maybe he'll wander back this way again. The one I met didn't seem too pleasant, though. Pals with Angelus, after all."
