Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

After finishing her homework for the week, Dawn went to the common room and decided to indulge herself. She had a bowl of rainbow sherbet and was flipping through channels.

Oooh, kittens! Or, well, lions, but baby ones. She watched happily, although an occasional "awww, kitty..." escaped.

"Oh good! Then you can go with me!" Buffy beamed, and didn't seem to have heard anything he said after 'no'. "I don't have a date yet either, which I hope is because I was a puppy and not because I'm hideous now."

Buffy gave an exasperated sigh. "To the dance, stupid. Because it'd be totally embarrassing if I had to go alone."

Buffy looked mortified at the mere idea.
