After finishing her homework for the week, Dawn went to the common room and decided to indulge herself. She had a bowl of rainbow sherbet and was flipping through channels.

Oooh, kittens! Or, well, lions, but baby ones. She watched happily, although an occasional "awww, kitty..." escaped.

"What?" Dean stared at him in disbelief. "Sammy that's not going to happen."

"Yeah, well, try convincing my brain of that. It's harder than you'd think."

"I could give you a promise that Dawn and I aren't going to get back together," Dean offered.

"Realistically, I know you're not going to get back together. You don't need to make a promise like that," Sam assured him. "It's not you that I'm worried about, like you're suddenly going to steal her from me. But this is why I don't want to screw anything up, because if Dawn starts thinking I'm not as good of a boyfriend as you were..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "I'm being dumb, don't worry about it."

"Hey, I was being stupid earlier, you're allowed to be dumb occasionally too," Dean told him, nudging his shoulder.

"Thanks," Sam replied, finally laughing at himself a little. "And I swear, I'm going to try to be less worried about how things are going with Dawn."

"Good. And if you are ever worried about anything, I'm always around to give you an unbiased opinion."

"You? Unbiased about my potential relationship problems?" Sam gave Dean an amused look. "Somehow, I don't quite think that's possible."
