Fifth Floor Common Room - Sunday Evening

Marie was humming along to the radio as she baked cookies. She and Jamie had had a good date the night before and she had spent the day doing some online shopping.

Now she felt like being social and the cool weather had her in the mood to bake, so here she was. She'd brought her portable CD player with her and was listening to upbeat country music, dancing her way around the kitchen.

Peter grinned. "It's a deal if you don't tell her I was trying to avoid studying. It's for Theory of War. I'm supposed to write a paper on Hobbes' views of sovereignty." He made a face. "It's very, very dull."

"Two things actually. One, do you know what color Willow's gown is? And two, is there's anything I should know about American Homecomings?" He shrugged. "I just don't want to mess anything up or do anything wrong because I didn't know."

"Well, we haven't gone shopping yet," Marie said. "But I'd be glad to give you a heads up after we do. And as for the other," she bit her lip. "I've never gone to one before, but I don't think you can go wrong with bringing her flowers."
