Second Floor CR, Friday Evening

For Friday the thirteenth, Zero had decided to have an impromptu scary movie marathon. She set up an array of snacks, including popcorn, pizza, soda, and candy, and stacked her DVD offerings on the coffee table.

Zero decided to start with that perennial classic, A Bunch of Losers Arguing Over Who Gets To Be Zero. It was her favorite.

"Coram took care of things most of my life. But he's being annoying and saying that it's our duty. And there were problems with the fields this year, so that's why it's a problem. That's my back-up plan, yup. Also? I got this dumped in my lap last ... Tuesday? Wednesday?"

"It's October." Alanna said with false cheerfulness. "Though knowing Coram? He's blowing it a touch out of proportion. I'm not sending any pleading letters until I get a response from Maude." She paused. "I can't believe I'm actually taking advice from my old nurse."

Parker rolled her eyes, then said, "Probably. Although I swear that one chick who taught me math when I was twelve is probably assasinating world leaders right now. She was evil."
