Second Floor Common Room - Later Sunday Evening

The Common Room had been hung with bright streamers and different glittery signs. One big banner was across the far wall of the room saying "WE SURIVIVED" in big block letters.

There was several different varieties of food below the banner from Chinese to pizza to sandwiches to chips and dip and vegetables along with a big cake from J, GOB with a blue and yellow gremlin on it.

Music was playing, and an air of general celebration - or was it relief - pervaded the room.

[OOC: After all the parents, guardians, journey guides, and other assorted relatives and friends have left the island. Minor OCD ~~coming up~~ is up]

"My mum did it for me before she left, so I know she even got that spot I always miss. So your friend, Mr. Evil Hair? Totally batshit, just so you know."

Peter's eyebrows rose. "I know. He's nearly killed myself and some loved ones a few times. That's why I asked you to stay away from him."

Zero sniffed. "I could take him."

"At this point I don't know if I could take him," Peter said. "Are you okay? Did he try anything?"

"He tried to be creepy," Zero said. She didn't sound terribly impressed.

"He does that a lot. He didn't try to hurt your or anything, though, did he?" Peter asked.

"No. I had my mallet."

Peter refrained from suggesting how effective that would be. "Good. Because - and I'll be completely honest about this - but he scares the living hell out of me and the thought that he might do something to you..."

"So not gonna happen," Zero said reassuringly. "Why isn't that guy on antipsychotics, anyway?"

"Because he's a psycho supervillain on the run," Peter said. "They don't tend to see psychiatrists, what with the evil thing."

"Someone should do something about that," Zero mused. "Posthumans should be able to get quality psychiatric care, too."

"Oh, they can. I've seen a shrink a few times," Peter said. "It's more the evil part that's keeping him away."

"Well, that's just stupid."

"So's his face, doesn't mean he's going to get professional help," Peter said.

"Again, a good plastic surgeon could help with that." Zero snuggled up next to Peter and said, "Let's not worry about Mr. Evil Hair now. He's gone."

"Good," Peter said. That didn't mean he wasn't going to worry about everyone he knew outside of Fandom, but he had already done all he could for them.

"So, did Dirk and Nikki enjoy their time here?"

"Yuh-huh. Da wants a dinosaur now."

"Does he know where he can get one?" Peter asked.

"No, thank squall," Zero said. "An' Mum thinks it's a bad idea besides."

"I don't know where she gets that impression," Peter said. "I think a dinosaur would be an entertaining addition to the Hopeless-Savage family."

"It would fit right in, really, I think. But she thinks it might eat the neighbors' pets. Or the neighbors." Zero shrugged.

"Get an herbavore," Peter said. "Sure, they're big, but no eaten pets or neighbors."

"No, but see, then it eats Mrs. Jenkins' prize azalea and I think that might be worse. Besides," she sighed, "he has his heart set on one like Old Lace."

"I can see how that would be a problem... The dinosaur was named 'Old Lace'?" Peter asked.

"Yup," Zero said with an emphatic head-bob. "She's a genetically engineered deio-whatsit from the 50th century or somethin' like that. She likes bacon."
