Saturday evening, just outside the school grounds

There really was something irresistable to the trolls about the giant castle thing at the top of the hill.

I mean, come on! Trolls, castle . . . it was like a match made in heaven!

So, once they'd made lots of good headway pillaging and rampaging through the town, the trolls started on their way up the hill, aimed for the gates to the school, grinning and slathering and singing creepy, troll-y songs of glee.

The troll bent forward a little as he was hit in the stomach, and said "HEY! Not nice!"

"YOU'RE THE ONE INVADING OUR SCHOOL!!" Zero shouted as she tried to hit the troll again.

"So?" he asked, and flailed a little in his attempt to hit her back.

Zero dodged. "SO IT'S OURS. THAT MEANS NOT YOURS."

And then she jumped on the troll's back, stuck her fingers in his nose, and YANKED, kicking him in the sides with her combat boots as she did so.

The troll flailed more, jumping a little and saying "Hey, stob thab!"

"NO!" Except for that his nose was gross, so Zero yanked her hand loose and surreptitiously wiped her fingers on his shoulder before jumping free.

The traditional enemies of the Teen Punker were the Kidnapping Skinhead and Drunken Biker What Wanted The Band To Play "Free Bird", not to mention the Brother-Stealing Brablister. Except for the latter, they tended to be at least as large and stupid as a troll. Zero was, shall we say, experienced.

"You not nice!" the troll accused, and swung at her again.

Zero ducked and rolled. "No. I'm not nice. I'm swerval." Hey, what happened when you kicked a troll in the kneecap with steel-toed boots?

The troll yelled in pain, hopping a little on one foot. It might be noticed that his knee was turning colors, looking a little like stone.

Huh. That was kind of interesting. Zero tried to kick the troll in its ankle.

"Stop that!" he yelled, but a moment later his foot was nicely immobile and stony.

"Holy shit," breathed Zero. "My boots are magic."

"BUT I HAVE MAGIC BOOTS!" Zero protested. Maybe if she kicked him in the crotch...

That got a yelp out of him, and he falls to his knees. "OWWWWWWWWWWWWW." You don't want to know what was turning to stone now.

Dirty? Zero decided this one was down for the count and ran off to find more trolls to fight.
