Saturday evening, just outside the school grounds

There really was something irresistable to the trolls about the giant castle thing at the top of the hill.

I mean, come on! Trolls, castle . . . it was like a match made in heaven!

So, once they'd made lots of good headway pillaging and rampaging through the town, the trolls started on their way up the hill, aimed for the gates to the school, grinning and slathering and singing creepy, troll-y songs of glee.

"Yes, hang on!" Parker stopped about twenty yards away, braced herself, and shot for the eyes again, advancing as carefully as she know how. "Hey, unimportant troll male! What happens if I shoot your groin?"

"Dirty human female," the troll replied and threw his club at Parker's head.

"Parker!" Seely yelped as he tried shifting into a more comfortable position. "Stop flirting and help me!"

Parker ducked and rolled away from the club, then picked it up and ran toward Seely's side. "Don't even start, troll-bait! And you--" Parker shot at the troll's groin again, three shots, as focused as she could make it, before dropping to her knees next to Seely. "No longer male troll! Get your own guy!"

The troll clutched his groin and toppled to the ground, screaming when his wound started to turn to stone.

"Hey, Parker," Seely grinned up at her in a 'oh god I can't feel my legs' way. "Think you could get me out from under this guy?"

"That's why I kept the club," Parker said, looking at him in concern. "Hold still. I think--" She put the club underneath the stone troll, then leaned all her weight on it, raising it a bare couple inches. "Can you roll out?"

"I can try."

Seely rolled out, screaming like a girl when he accidentally put pressure on his ribs.

Parker dropped the troll as soon as she could, and dropped to her knees next to Seely. "Okay, right, you're going to the clinic now. Jesus, you look hammered." She took off her jacket and tried to remember her First Aid training, taking a deep breath. "What's the worst?"

"Ribs," Seely gasped. He went to finally let go of his gun and yelped. "No, make that ribs and hands."

He grinned dopily. "You're really pretty."

"You're really hurt, aren't you." Parker rolled her eyes. "Okay, ribs first. I'll tie them with my jacket, assuming--" She *very* carefully ran her fingers overh is torso-- "None of them are sticking out or broken badly enough to be crushed? And we'll let the clinic deal with the fingers."

"Okey-dokey," Seely nodded, then blinked and giggled. "You're all fuzzy. Fuzzy Parker, pretty Parker, Parker, Parker, troll."

"Troll!?" Parker looked around, then relaxed. "Hey, who are you calling a troll?" Parker asked, securing her jacket around him to support his ribs, and brushing some of the blood out of his eyes. "I'm much better dressed. Can you walk at all?"

"Hi, Parker!" Zero called. "My boots are magic an' I'm workin' on a song! How's your day been?"

"Hi Zero," Seely waved, then stared at his hand. "I got trolled."

"Think so," he said, to Parker. "He hit my knee, but not swollen and or hurting too bad."

"Sorry to hear that, Seely," Zero said as she hit a troll in the head before kicking it in the knee. The knee began to turn to stone after she kicked it. "See? MAGIC!"

"Or maybe they just do that?" Parker suggested. "Since I shot one of the eyes, and one in the groin, and -- okay, magic. That works too," she said hastily. "And you want to grab that club? Seely's going to need support on the other side." She slung one of his arms around her shoulders. "Any idea what they're doing here?"

Seely pointed to the stone troll he'd been under. "He said he wanted me to meet some girls who liked me."

"So the trolls are here for you. Great. That's just great," Zero said. She grabbed the club and dragged it over to him. "Here ya go, Booth. We won't let the trolls get you."

Parker was cursing under her breath. "Girls here for Seely. A girl got Jack. A girl got Broots away from his laptop. A girl got-- Okay, I want to kick these girls' asses. A lot."

"Can, can I watch?"

"We'll get you a lawn chair," Parker said, starting to steer him toward the dorm. "And a pina colada."

"I'm starting to see a pattern here," Zero pointed out.

"I hate this pattern. I want to mess it up." Parker stomped a bit, then said as they got closer to the lobby, "I think I can take it from here. See you back out there in a bit, unless he passes out?"

"Yeah, I'm just gonna kick trolls a bit more. Take care of that one." Zero couldn't quite bring herself to call him Parker's boyfriend.
