Second Floor Common Room [after classes]

Rory got to the common room nice and early right after Lit, and started blowing up balloons and hanging streamers.

By the time everyone would be out of class, she had the cake and snacks and drinks out as well, and there was a table to the side for presents.

Happy birthday, Bridge.

Cally smiled a little wider. "I didn't know you were friends with Bridge too," she said.

"Well, I wouldn't say friends so much as minor acquaintances," Setsuna admitted. "We don't run into each other very often, but it's always nice to talk to him when we do, so I figured it was the least I could do to wish him a happy birthday."

"That's very nice of you," Cally said. "You ready for the final on Friday?"

"I...I think so," Setsuna said after a bit of realization that she wasn't quite sure what was expected as a final for fitness. "So long as we don't do anything that's strictly focused on sports, I should be fine for that class."

"Yeah, me too. I don't think it'll be too hard," Cally said. "You know, we should make sure to sign up for some other class the same, next semester."

"Oh, we should!" Setsuna found herself smiling a lot at that idea; too much, she thought. "Especially if it's a class with mostly boys. I kind of like our little...Girl Power...Club..Vibe...Thing." And now she was blushing a little and couldn't explain why, either. Huh.

Cally grinned. "I'm sure we'll find something," she said. "Girl solidarity, all the way."

"Whooo," Setsuna said in a chuckling, shy display of enthusiasm.

"So, staying around for the Christmas break, or are you going home?" Cally asked.

"Going home," Setsuna said with a bobbing head of a nod. "The twins worked out this whole plan for Ranma, Matilda, and me to stay with them for a bit, and then I'll be spending the holidays with...my employer, and then staying with the twins again because they said they have something special going on for New Years. So I'll be in Japan for a good chunk of time."

"Are you staying here? If I remembered correctly, it might be a little harder than just acquiring holiday flight tickets for you to get home..."

"Yeah, I'm stuck here," Cally said. "You're spending time at the Twins'? After what they did?"

Setsuna grunted, and rolled her eyes a bit. "Yeah, even after what they did. They're horrible, conniving, clever little bastards, but they're my friends. And they seemed so excited about having us stay with them that I really couldn't say no. I mean, it would just be cruel of me to be so close to them and deny their existence for a week when they were asking me to visit. They said they'd never really had people over at their home; it's...kind of a big thing for them..."

"Always good to be the bigger person," Cally said. "But if they do anything mean over the break, let me know. I'll murderize them."

Setsuna grinned. "And let you have all the fun? No way."

"Oh, I'd share, definitely," Cally said. "I always like to share the fun."

"And there are two of them, so a double force attack would just make sense." Despite the fact that Setsuna knew very well she could easily kill the both of them with one hand tied behind her back. Mwa ha ha.

"Exactly," Cally said. "We'd be a regular, ummm... two girl killing team." She frowned. "I was hoping to make some sort of sassy reference, but I couldn't think of anything."

"Ummm...." Setsuna looked thoughtful for a moment, trying to pull up anything retained from the lexicon of manga and anime that Paru always babbled about. She tried not to pay attention to Paru, though. "Uhhh...."

"Sorry. I got nothin'. Two Girl Killing Team could work. TCKT...yo."

Setsuna mentally facepalmed. God. She'd just said 'yo.'

"We'd need matching outfits," Cally said. "Definitely."

"Oh, God," Setsuna laughed, blushing fervently ~~and wishing the bit about Konoka getting matching outfits was in the books and not the anime~~. "What do you suppose they'd look like?"

"I'm thinking... skin-tight leather," Cally said. "Black. With... orange highlights."

"Uhhh...uhmm....wow." Setsuna blinked, a lot, mouth working but failing to form many words.

If Cally and Mana ever got together, Setsuna'd be in trouble.

"...Ummm...why orange?"

"I like orange," Cally said. "It's one of the few colors I'll wear by choice."

Setsuna nodded. "I can do orange. Now, this skin tight leather thing..."

"It'd be totally hot," Cally said. "Don't you think?"
