Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Morning

Tori found that she couldn't sleep any longer, so grabbing a book and a blanket, she moved out into the common room.

She sat down to read and just mull over her first day at Fandom High. And perhaps she'd get to meet even more people today. At that thought, she couldn't help but smile.

Despite the disquiet garnered from listening to the radio before he went to sleep, Neil slept well and woke relatively early. Careful not to disturb Conner, he slipped out for a quick shower, then dressed in nice slacks, shirt and a sweater.

Brushing his hand through his hair, Neil padded out into the common room. He'd heard something about there being food stuffs and maybe something to drink, like juice or tea. Either would be good this morning.

Tori hadn't expeccted anyone to be up this early, she hadn't really expected herself to be up at this time either, so it was a bit of a surprise when she realized someone else had made their way to the common room.

Looking up, she smiled. "Morning." She waved at the new person.

"Morning." Neil said cheerfully.

Then he did a bit of a double take as he realized that he was talking to a girl. A girl...on his floor. Wow, the brochure really did mean co-ed.

Grinning, he pulled out a container of juice and held it up. "Juice?"

Tori pretended not to notice the double take, but smirked anyway. She was somewhat used to the floor being co-ed, not totally used to it yet, but she'd get there eventually.

"Oh, sure, thanks." Tori answered, placing her book on the couch after marking the page. She stood, pushing the blanket to the side.

Grabbing down two glasses, Neil poured juice into them both and then put the container back.

Turning towards her, he held out one of the glasses with a smile.

"I'm Neil, by the way. Neil Perry. I live down in 314."

Summer wasn't usually awake this early, but since she was, she wandered into the common room. Maybe she would meet some of the new students.

Accepting the glass, Tori grinned appreciatively.

"I'm Tori, Tori Hanson. I'm in 304." She gestured down the hall, to her room.

Tori turned at the sound of footsteps and smiled as she saw a girl make her way into the common room.

"Hi there." Tori waved, hoping she hadn't startled the girl.

"Hi," Summer replied, waving. "You're new, huh? Haven't seen you around before."

There wasn't anyone in her own common room, so Cassie wandered up a floor. She figured human contact was a good thing after her... 'encounter' with Teddy last night.

"Hey... bunches of people I've not met yet."

Summer smiled, waving at the girl she didn't recognize. "Hi new person."

"Cassie," she introduced herself, before sitting down. "I guess the new person thing is obvious, huh?"

"Haven't seen you around before. That sort of gave it away," Summer said. "I'm Summer. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," Cassie said. "Glad pretty much everyone here seems friendly, that's for sure."

"Hey there." Tori replied with a smile. She waved at the new girl.

"Yep. Just got here yesterday." Tori answered. "I'm Tori."

"I'm Cassie," she said, introducing herself. "I'm actually from the second floor. Hope it's okay that I'm up here?"

Alanna came into the common room and headed for the refrigerator. Faithful trotted in after her.

"Hey Cassie, I'm Tori." She replied. "Oh, it's totally fine that you're up here. You're welcome anytime. The more the merrier." Tori grinned warmly.

Conner shuffled sleepily into the common room in search of a bowl of cereal or something, and ideally some caffeine. Because he still wasn't awake enough to even process who all was in the room as he waved vaguely and mumbled something that sounded like "Hey, everybody."

"Good," Cassie said, looking around a bit. "I don't see any squirrels, good."

Tori laughed. "Yeah, I hope I don't see squirrels any time soon. The one with the clipboard was just plain weird."

Tori heard someone come in and greet the room but she was too engrossed in her book to look up.

"Hey there." She greeted, with a small wave.

Nadia wandered downstairs to look for Walter and drill him ask him about his new doppelganger, who she'd never gotten around to doing more than just kind of staring at.

She is, at times, easily distracted, so when she spotted Tori in the common room, she redirected herself there, instead. "Hey! How are you settling in?"

"I hear there's a lot of them," Cassie said. "And they, like, eavesdrop and stuff."
