Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning

Katara had woken up early and slipped out of her dorm room quietly. She considered going outside for a moment, but she decided to explore the floor she'd ended up on.

Finding herself in a big open room with several couches and tables and quite a few big boxes she had no idea about, she up a small floppy book made out of shiny paper and began to flip through it, looking at the pictures.

Chris smiled back. "I'm Chris. Are you new, too?"

"I'm Liz," Liz replied, "I'm a new student, I'll be a freshman this semester,"

"I'm a sophomore," Chris said. "Just transferred from San Francisco. You?"

"I'm from New Jersey but I've only been living there for the past few weeks," Liz replied, "I was attending a high school in Michigan before I transferred,"

"Cool," Chris said. "You like it here so far?"

"It seems alright," Liz nodded, "a bit different to what I was expecting but so far it's okay,"

"Really?" Chris asked. "What were you expecting?"

"I'm not entirely sure," Liz admitted, "my guardian sent me here because he thought that this would be a good school for me. I didn't expect to hear stories about invasions though,"

"My grandpa sent me and my brother here to learn about magic," Chris admitted. "But everything still seems pretty intimidating."
