Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning

Katara had woken up early and slipped out of her dorm room quietly. She considered going outside for a moment, but she decided to explore the floor she'd ended up on.

Finding herself in a big open room with several couches and tables and quite a few big boxes she had no idea about, she up a small floppy book made out of shiny paper and began to flip through it, looking at the pictures.

Cassie wandered up a floor again, to see what was going on.

She was wearing the nametag she'd gotten and filled out. She didn't actually like the idea of what she'd written. But she was being stubborn and thought it would hurt Teddy, just like he'd been hurting her.

She was not a very rational girl, sometimes.

"Hi," Cassie said. "I... don't think we've met yet."

"I think you're right," she said. "I'm Katara. Are you new too?"

Returning from Michigan, where he'd *handwavily* spent the break with the rest of his family, Zack noticed Katara as he headed for his room. "Did we get new students in already?"

Katara looked up with a grin. "No, I'm an illusion, you know."

"Yeah, I guess you guys kind of did," Cassie said. "Hi, I'm Cassie Lang."

Jamie is wearing a name tag that says "Jamie #13" as he wanders the dorm and finally wanders into the CR.

"Hello new people and old. Where's the free food?"

"There's supposed to be free food?" Katara asked.

"The fridge, were it usually is," Zack replied. "You'd think even a stickbug could remember that."

Cassie blinked at Jamie a few times.

"You look awfully familiar," she said.

After stopping by Isabel's room Liz continued exploring the dorms until she came to the third floor common room and noticed that there were people there so she decided to go in, "hi," she said as she entered.

Katara smiled at the girl. "Hi," she replied. "I'm Katara."

"Hey new girl," Jamie said with a wave. "What's shaking?"

Chris woke up and, after grabbing a shower and breakfast, decided to explore a little.

"Morning," he greeted, looking around and not seeing any familiar faces.

"Morning new guy!" Jamie said with a jaunty wave. "Jamie Madrox. Damn pleased to meet ya."

Hermione didn't get in until later last night, so she hasn't had a chance to meet any of the new people besides her roommate yet. So she might be a little curious, at least enough to wander into the common room with a "Hello."

Katara smiled. "Good morning. I don't know if there is free food, but apparently the second most important substance known to man is over there." She pointed to the coffee pot.

Wyatt went up a floor to look for his little brother. He paused in the common room to see who was there.

Katara was just a bit impressed by the number of pretty boys stopped by. She gave the newcomer a small wave. "Hi."

Tori was thirsty after her walk around the park. She made her way to the common room, then to the fridge hoping to find some juice. Eureka!! Orange juice had been found.

She turned around, juice in hand, and noticed an unfamiliar face. "Hey there." Tori greeted the new girl, with a smile and wave.

Katara smiled back. "Hi. I'm Katara."

Conner thought about going to the gym. He really did. But in the end he decided the common room sounded more fun.

"People," he said, sprawling out on a couch. "What's up?"

Tori laughed at Conner's entrance. She waved from behind the door and stuck her head out. "Hey Conner!"

Dawn, still in her jammies with cartoon baby chicks on them, wandered into the common room yawning. "Whoa, people." Thank god she'd brushed her hair and teeth, at least.

Katara smiled at the new person. "Lots of them," she agreed. "I'm Katara."

Dick was pleased to find that every floor had a common room. He was determined to find new people to talk to. He didn't do well when he was by himself.

"Hey!" he said as he entered the room.

Dawn waved from over by the refrigerator. "Hi, I'm Dawn."

Marco was a little suprised to find the common room so full in the morning and couldn't spot a single person he'd already met.

Katara waved at the new boy. "Hi. There is apparently coffee and food. And chocolate!" Yes, she sounded much more excited about the last.

Sokka wandered through the dormitory, trying to get a feel for his new home. He had already found the bathroom and cleaned himself up, and now the next thing on his agenda was, of course, food... He paused as he passed the third floor common room, and did a double-take.

"KATARA???" he called, rushing forward. "What are you DOING here???"

Katara jumped up and hurled herself at Sokka, intending to end up giving him a huge hug. "I just ended up here. Where's Aang? Is he okay? Zuko's here too. Where have you been?"

Layla was quickly discovering that new students meant new attractive students, so she headed to what sounded like the loudest common room to see who she could find.

Katara waved at the red-headed girl. "Hi!"

After her morning run, Annette decided to visit each floor, you know, to just get a feel for other students and because she was very much interested in who was who and who was doing what.

She walked in and stood still, staring over the large crowd already gathered.

"Wow."

Katara smiled at the new girl. "I know the feeling. People just keep appearing."

Zuko knew that if there were people in the common room, that usually meant there was food too. He smirked when he noticed both Katara and Sokka in the common room, pretty sure that it meant that Aang wouldn't be far behind.

"Didn't find your way back yet, peasant?" he asked.

Katara turned to glare at Zuko. "I wonder that you're still here. Shouldn't you have better things to do in the Fire Nation."

Nova decided to hang out in the common room again. An uninspired move. He was completely hopeless without someone leading him around. He frowned. There were even more people he hadn't met yet.

Looking up, Zuko noticed the guy with the hook and decided that really wasn't very subtle. "What's with the mask?" he asked, subtle as always.
