Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning

Katara had woken up early and slipped out of her dorm room quietly. She considered going outside for a moment, but she decided to explore the floor she'd ended up on.

Finding herself in a big open room with several couches and tables and quite a few big boxes she had no idea about, she up a small floppy book made out of shiny paper and began to flip through it, looking at the pictures.

[OOC: Open as a Common Room is. Though I might be under periods of SP as it's my first day back at work after a week.]

"Remind me not to piss you off then," Wyatt said with a wink.

"Okay, seriously though, I do have powers," Cassie said. "Just not that one."

"Like what?" Wyatt asked. "Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine."

"Size changing," Cassie said. "Both ways."

"That's cool," Wyatt said. "I'm not sure exactly what I can do, but I'm apparently a witch."

"I've had a friend who's a witch," Cassie said. "Can you summon lightning and stuff?"

"Maybe?" Wyatt said. "I'm still figuring out what I can do. I made a protection shield go around me and my brother to stop a car from hitting us. That's how I found out that I have powers."

"Wow, that's better than how I found out about mine," Cassie said.

"How'd it happen?" Wyatt asked. "If you don't mind me asking."

"I got really really upset, and bam, I was so tall so suddenly I got dizzy and passed out," Cassie said. "I shredded the clothes I was wearing. I was lucky enough that they stretched so I wasn't totally naked, though."

Wyatt winced in sympathy. "That could be embarrassing," he said. "You got it under control now?"

Cassie nodded, even though she knew she didn't, totally. "Yeah. And I've got a suit that can change size with me."

"That's handy," Wyatt said. "Is it magic or something?"

"Unstable molecules," Cassie said. "Not magic, sorry."

"Unstable molecules?" Wyatt repeated. "That sounds kinda...unstable."

"Well, it allows them to change size," Cassie said. "They're not dangerous, honest."

"You don't worry about them disappearing on you or something?" Wyatt said.

"The suit worked for my dad for years," Cassie said. "I trust it more than most things."

"Superheroing runs in the family, huh?" Wyatt said.

"Sort of, yeah," Cassie said.

"Your dad have the same powers as you?" Wyatt asked.

"Sort of, yeah," Cassie said.

"Sort of?" Wyatt said. "What do you mean?"

"Well, it wasn't hereditary or anything. It's kinda... science related," Cassie said.

"Space rays from a meteor or something?" Wyatt asked. He'd read comic books as a kid, after all.
