Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning

Katara had woken up early and slipped out of her dorm room quietly. She considered going outside for a moment, but she decided to explore the floor she'd ended up on.

Finding herself in a big open room with several couches and tables and quite a few big boxes she had no idea about, she up a small floppy book made out of shiny paper and began to flip through it, looking at the pictures.

[OOC: Open as a Common Room is. Though I might be under periods of SP as it's my first day back at work after a week.]

"As popular as his classes are? Not a chance," Conner assured her.

[OOC: And I run off to lunch now -- back in a little less than an hour.]

"So, what other wisdom do you care to impart?" Tori asked, humorously. She appreciated Conner explaining Fandom to her and wondered what else she should know.

[OOC: Sure thing! Have fun!]

Conner ran over a few possibilities in his head, and settled on something he hoped would cover all of them. "Just a basic rule of thumb. Don't ever believe it can't happen here."

"I don't think that will ever be a problem." Tori admitted. With all they'd been through, she was far from thinking that. She would take Conner's advice to heart though.

"Well, then, you're all set for life in Fandom," Conner assured her. "You're probably a lot better prepared than some of the poor kids who show up are."

Tori smiled, a bit relieved. "You think so?" She was glad to hear it. Then again, being a ranger had helped her to expect the unexpected and not get so freaked when things were classified as weird and out of this world.

"I think some of them don't have a clue as to what this place has in store." She shook her head. "Thankfully, you've been kind enough to warn me."

"I'd feel guilty if I didn't," Conner replied. "Sort of a solidarity thing. Even if you did try to beat up me and my friends last time," he added teasingly.

"Thanks." Tori grinned sheepishly, a slight blush creeping into her cheeks. She wasn't sure she'd ever get over the whole being evil gig. "Yeah, sorry about that." Tori bit her lip, still somewhat embarrassed over that. She knew Conner was only kidding around.

"We totally kicked your butts, too." Tori smirked, easily recovering from her somber state.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Conner replied with a chuckle, feeling obligated in some way to put up at least a token objection, even though to be honest they'd been really well matched. "We got 'em in the end, right? That's all that matters."

Tori winked at him. She be the first one to admit that Conner was an even match to her. He was a formidable opponent. "Yes, we did. And you're right, it is all that matters."
