Third Floor Common Room - Saturday, Late morning/early afternoon

After taking a shower, Tori made her way to the common room. She turned on the television, finding some cartoons to watch.

It was a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't really anything good on the television, so cartoons it was.

Tori made a bowl of popcorn and sat down on the couch, trying to pass the time before the party.

"Hi, Tori," Chris smiled and took a seat in an empty chair. "How's it going?"

"Pretty good, thanks." She grinned. "Popcorn?"

"No thanks," Chris said, holding up his mug, "I have coffee."

"Okie dokie." Tori smiled, placing the bowl on the table in front of her. She paused and then mentally kicked herself. Okie dokie? What, was she in the third grade?

Chris smiled. "Did you get your class schedule?"

Tori nodded. "I did. I'm pretty happy with it, got three out of the four classes I wanted. Novice's Guide to Villains and Villainy, Conflict Management and Folklore and Fact." She listed them, smiling. "How about you?"

"Oh, we have Folklore and Fact together," Chris said. "I also have Defense Against Malicious Magics and Hunting 101."

"Cool." Tori was excited for classes to start. "Oh, those two classes sound intriguing."

"Hopefully they'll teach me things I need to know," Chris said.

"That's what I'm hoping for my classes, too." Tori remarked.

"So have you heard all the crazy warnings about this place?" Chris asked.

"They never seem to end." Tori remarked, shaking her head in amusement. "Gremlins, evil washing machines, Locker 327, jello dragons." She paused for a moment. "I actually heard about the dragons from your brother."

"Oh, you met Wyatt," Chris said, wondering if his brother had hit on her.

"I did." Tori nodded. She shook her head in amusement. "Quite a guy."

"I hope he didn't say anything too offensive," Chris said.

Tori laughed. "He didn't. Our discussion mostly revolved around the warnings and jello dragons." She smiled slightly, thinking of Wyatt's comment to her. Okay, so maybe he had hit on her, a little. "And big brother duties."

Chris groaned. "I'm afraid to ask what he said."

Tori smirked. "Nothing terrible, honest. Just that it was his job to torment you."

"That's a job he takes far too seriously," Chris admitted.

"I can only imagine." Tori smiled softly. The boys did that to her sometimes, especially Shane and Dustin.

"I can't remember if you told me if you have any brothers and sisters," Chris said, smiling back.

"I have one sister." Tori smiled. "So, I know how it is to be tormented so."

Chris laughed. "We should stick together. Is your sister here?"

"We totally should." Tori agreed. "No, she's back home." She smiled. "Though, I wish she were here, even I do get picked on. But it's an even trade." Tori smirked, thinking back to some of the pranks she'd played on her sister.

"I get that," Chris said. "Even though Wyatt gives me a hard time, I'm glad he's here with me."

He smiled. "Did you get a school assigned big? Mine is pretty nice. A little scary, but mostly nice."
