Sunday Evening - Fifth Floor Common Room

After handwavy shopping for supplies and food, Peter and Isabel decorated the Common Room and hung a banner across the back saying  "Congratulations on Surviving Our First Week of Classes!"  

A big cake of whatever flavour you want to mod saying much the same thing, soda, chips, and lots of other food were laid out on the table along with poppers, kazoos, noisemakers, and other party favours and games.

In short, the Common Room was set up for a big Student Council sponsored party for all students old and new.

"Sophomore," she answered. "Hopefully I'll get to go back home before my junior year."

"Do you miss it that much?" Peter asked, looking at her with concern.

"Um. I miss my parents and boyfriend, yeah," she said. "But it's not that bad here, really. It's just...not home."

"It's too wacky to be home, I think," Peter agreed. "But in a bit, you might like it more."

"I still haven't told Roy or my parents about how weird it is here," Pam admitted, smiling.

Peter grinned back. "I think most of us avoid that complete truth. My little brother came to visit for Parents' Weekend in the fall and was rather upset I hadn't kept him completely filled in on the details."

"There's a Parents' Weekend?" Pam asked, looking horrified.

"There was in October," Peter said. "But I think it's only once a year so you're likely safe." He grinned. "And almost everyone was excellent about not letting on anything you didn't want your family to know."
