Second Floor Common Room - Wednesday Night

Kawalsky wasn't just in the common room. He was in the common room with enough junk food to last the night, pillows, all the blankets he could find and a bunch of chairs. The TV was playing the third hour of a Rescued by the Alarm marathon. It was the one where Bessie didn't get into the college she wanted and Shriek kept getting into the oddest colleges, so Bessie kept freaking out at everyone and scaring them with her giant feet.

Kawalsky was only half-watching it anyway. He was busy trying to make a giant room fort that covered the TV.

Teddy's normal reaction of fanboyish glee was stifled by the confusion that followed when he actually thought about it. "What?"

"Exactly," Cassie said. "I think Deadpool is crazy."

"That sounds like an understatement, if you ask me," Teddy said. "I am so glad I didn't take Drivers Ed."

"Yeeeah," Cassie said. "Me too. Not that I could have."

"So..." Teddy trailed off, trying to think of conversation starters that wouldn't end with talking about home. "Making friends?"

"Yeah. I got invited to a shirtless seahorse party last week."

"You went somewhere shirtless?"

"...only after a lot of coaxing from a cute boy from the future?"

"Hey, it's not like that," Cassie said. "He doesn't have super armor and we totally haven't kissed yet."

"When you add the yet to the end of the sentence, that just makes me want to get with the threatening," Teddy teased.

"Nonononon," Cassie said. "He's totally got, like, a boyfriend. And a girlfriend. I think."

"Everyone there was?" Cassie said. "I still had a bra on, don't worry."
