Second Floor Common Room - Wednesday Night

Kawalsky wasn't just in the common room. He was in the common room with enough junk food to last the night, pillows, all the blankets he could find and a bunch of chairs. The TV was playing the third hour of a Rescued by the Alarm marathon. It was the one where Bessie didn't get into the college she wanted and Shriek kept getting into the oddest colleges, so Bessie kept freaking out at everyone and scaring them with her giant feet.

Kawalsky was only half-watching it anyway. He was busy trying to make a giant room fort that covered the TV.

"You need to know anything else other than that I have good taste in women?"

Charlie grinned. "That's a good point. I'm Charlie Kawalsky." He offered a hand to shake.

"Marco." Marco shook the offered hand. "So what's your strange thing?"

What was sad was that Kawalsky didn't even need to ask what he meant. "I was a hamster in my past life."

Kawalsky grinned. "I'm kidding. Nothing special about me." Sort of true. Sort of a lie.
