Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Dawn was wearing the same jeans and sweater she'd been wearing yesterday, not wanting to head back to her room and too tall to borrow Molly's. She was also freezing, which had led to her mixing up a very large pot of oatmeal. The fixings were in the cupboard if anyone wanted them, but she wasn't setting them out.

Instead, she was sitting with her bowl of healthy goodness (once you ignored the raisins and brown sugar she'd added to her own) and a very, very large mug of hot cocoa with mini marshmallows. She read through a large pile of books and scrolls she'd brought with her and that Giles had sent since May (not all of which were in English), trying to find anything that explained what was going on.

She made occasional notes on a pad as she worked.

Cally nodded. "'ankfully. You notice 'eirdness, too?"

"Oh yeah," Dawn muttered grumpily. "And it seems to be really, really random."

"Setsuna tried to make out with my 'irlfriend yesterday," Cally said with as much of a pout as she could muster.

"My boyfriend dumped me," Dawn pouted much more successfully, then got up and returned a few minutes later with a mug of hot chocolate and a straw. "No marshmallows, but it should still help."

Cally made a bit of a pained face. "'anks? But 'm pretty sure thats not vegan."

"Oh, sorry," Dawn said, looking sadly at the poor neglected mug. "It's got milk in it."

"Chocolate usually does," Cally said. "'anks for offering, though."

"Should you be up and around?"

Cally shrugged. "School deemed me good 'nough for detention yesterday."

"Oh man," Dawn said sympathetically. "Seems like we shouldn't have detention when things have gone insane."

"And it was from the stupid lottery," Cally said. "Yeah."

"Oh, sucks," Dawn said again, for lack of anything better to add. "What'd you have to do?"
