Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Dawn was wearing the same jeans and sweater she'd been wearing yesterday, not wanting to head back to her room and too tall to borrow Molly's. She was also freezing, which had led to her mixing up a very large pot of oatmeal. The fixings were in the cupboard if anyone wanted them, but she wasn't setting them out.

Instead, she was sitting with her bowl of healthy goodness (once you ignored the raisins and brown sugar she'd added to her own) and a very, very large mug of hot cocoa with mini marshmallows. She read through a large pile of books and scrolls she'd brought with her and that Giles had sent since May (not all of which were in English), trying to find anything that explained what was going on.

She made occasional notes on a pad as she worked.

Justin waved back and tried not to ask what happened to her face. Because that's really not what you say when you first meet someone.

"Hey..."

"You notice the weird, too?" Cally asked.

It took him a moment to realize she was still talking to him. "Like that guy who ran through one of these common rooms the other night announcing crap?"

"'eah," Cally said. "And people not thinkin' they're them."

Considering Justin was pretty damn sure he was himself, he really didn't understand what she was talking about.

"Not really, no," He said. "Are you supposed to be someone else or something?"

"Nope, still me," Cally said. "You still you?"

"As far as I know, yeah." This was quickly becoming one of the weirdest conversations Justin had ever had.

"Good to know," Cally said. "Hug?"

Like Justin could say no to giving a girl who looked like someone used her face as a punching bag a hug.

"I think it might be good to know the name of the girl I'm hugging now," Justin said, beginning to think that maybe this was another mistaken identity thing.

Cally blinked. "...you aren't who you are," she said, glumly.

"I am too!" Justin said defensively. "I'm the same person I've always been."

"What's your name?" Cally asked.

"Justin Taylor."

Cally saved herself from the immense pain that would be facepalming, but only at the last second.

"...okay."

"Sorry?" Justin said. "Are you okay?"

"You're supposed to be Teddy," Cally said.

Justin sighed. "Yeah, I've been getting that a lot this weekend."

"You okay?" Justin asked again, not wanting to cause this girl any pain. It was probably the injuries that compelled him to do it.

"Yeah, just... wish you were Teddy," Cally said.

"Getting that a lot too." Justin sighed. "Hopefully he comes back soon."
