Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning
Dawn was wearing the same jeans and sweater she'd been wearing yesterday, not wanting to head back to her room and too tall to borrow Molly's. She was also freezing, which had led to her mixing up a very large pot of oatmeal. The fixings were in the cupboard if anyone wanted them, but she wasn't setting them out.
Instead, she was sitting with her bowl of healthy goodness (once you ignored the raisins and brown sugar she'd added to her own) and a very, very large mug of hot cocoa with mini marshmallows. She read through a large pile of books and scrolls she'd brought with her and that Giles had sent since May (not all of which were in English), trying to find anything that explained what was going on.
She made occasional notes on a pad as she worked.

"So did I. He just appeared, it was kind of weird."

She laughed. It wasn't really funny. All these strange people. But Annette couldn't help it.
"I know it. He did this dive roll thing in front of me and...yeah, it was just weird."

She shook her head. "I just don't get it." She chuckled. "He did? Oh wow. He asked if I was in distress."
no subject
Annette giggled. "He said he was a hero. I told him I wanted his clothes."
no subject
She laughed. "You did? Oh wow, good for you."

But there was chaos now. Ugh.
"I couldn't help myself." She grinned. "I don't think he knew what to make of me after that. Kind of stuttered. What hero stutters?" She laughed.

She smirked. "I honestly don't know, but it must have been pretty funny."
no subject
"And his mask was pretty cool." She added.
"What did you do yesterday?"
no subject
She sighed. "Well, I kind of just wandered around campus and town, trying to make sense of what's going on, after I found out my roommate was someone other than herself. You?"
no subject
"I roamed about yesterday too. In town; Luke's Diner, the park, Caritas...Ii should be drop dead tired today."
no subject
"Yeah, I didn't get much sleep last night. Everything that I had seen keeps running through my head, I'm trying to make sense of it all. Conner thinks it might be due to the effects of a meteor rock, so I'm going to help him search in a little." At least, it was something.
no subject
She raised her brows. "A meteor rock? Now there is an explanation. Let me know how that search goes."
no subject
"Yeah, he's had experience with it before, so it's a plausible explanation. I'll definitely let you know if we find anything."
