First Floor Lobby [Saturday Evening]

Benton woke up this morning to Dief licking his face and wanting to go outside. So, after sliding on clothes and tying his own shoes, Benton wandered into the lobby with Dief at his side.

He's got a book in front of him, a puppy at his side and cereal to eat.

[So open!]

Aiden grinned, still rubbing Dief's back. "I'm Aiden," she said.

She then might have pouted a little. "I don't have a bestest friend here."

She seemed to perk up at that. "I can?" Aiden beamed at Benton. This boy was waaay nicer than Stupid Jarod.

Aiden peered at the book. "Whatcha readin'?" she asked.

"There are lots of boats here," Aiden said. One of the benefits of living on an island, of course. "They're near where I live. Do you live here?"

"I have my own bed too," Aiden declared with a grin. "But the couch is bouncier."

Aiden nodded vigorously. "Yup," she said, grinning proudly. "This morning. It was fun."

She looked around the room. "You could bounce on one of these couches, instead."

Like she would turn down an offer like that. Aiden jumped up, reaching to pull Benton over to the nearest springy looking sofa.

"Uh-huh," she responded. "But there's no music, so we'll have to pretend."

Aiden giggled and bounced with him gleefully, humming a Hannah Montana song she had heard on MTV this morning.

Her couch was better, but the company was so much nicer this time around.

"Dief wants to bounce, too," she said, still bouncing.

Aiden shrugged. "Never seen 'em do that," she said. "Maybe?"

Seeing as Dief didn't seem to be getting the concept of jumping very well, Aiden helped him out by getting even more overexcited in her actions as encouragement.

"Yaaay," Aiden gleed. Bouncing puppies were cute. She liked cute things.

"This is fun," she decided. "You're so much cooler than Jarod. He sucks."
