First Floor Lobby [Saturday Evening]

Benton woke up this morning to Dief licking his face and wanting to go outside. So, after sliding on clothes and tying his own shoes, Benton wandered into the lobby with Dief at his side.

He's got a book in front of him, a puppy at his side and cereal to eat.

Aiden eventually found her way up to the school. The town just wasn't big enough for her.

When she got to the lobby, she completely ignored Benton, and went to pet the cute puppy instead.

The puppy was completely happy with the attention and jumped on Aiden.

Aiden squealed happily. "Hi," she said to the puppy as she ruffled his fur.

"His name is Dief," Benton supplied helpfully. "He likes you."

"He's cute!" she said, finally paying attention to the other kid. "Is he yours?" Aiden asked.

"Yep!" Benton was quite proud of having a doggie everyone liked. "He's my bestest friend. I'm Benton."

Aiden grinned, still rubbing Dief's back. "I'm Aiden," she said.

She then might have pouted a little. "I don't have a bestest friend here."

Hermione had been holed up in her room for most of the day, since going out lead to things like being doused with holy water. So she might be a little surprised to see a little boy and puppy in the lobby. "Um, hello," she says.

Dief immediately tried to tackle Hermione.

"Hi!" Benton waved.

"Woah! Good dog," she says, not having expected a puppy tackle but not wanting to get tackled by a puppy. "Um, are you supposed to be here?"

"Yes," Benton said, nodding. "I live here!"

"Oh," she says. "Is one of your parents a teacher?"

"Nope." Benton laughed and Dief tried to bite her hair.

On her way back to the dorms from visiting Annie possibly to grab something from her room while the weetiny boy slept omg since we haven't played it out, Rory passed through the lobby. Having guessed what was going on from the phone call, she waved to the little boy.

And to his puppy.

Vladdie poked his head out of his bag and yipped a hello.

Dief, at hearing another dog, bounded towards Vladdie and Rory.

"You gots a doggie too?" Benton asked, wide eyed.

"His name is Vladdie, and he's a special doggie," Rory told him, letting Vladdie out of the bag to hover. "Is your name Benton?"

It wasn't too tough a guess, what with the dog and all.

"Yeah!" Benton said and watched Dief try to jump up and get Vladdie. "Hi!"

"Hi!" she replied. Vladdie hovered a little lower. "And hello to Dief, too!"

"You're big and tall," Benton said helpfully. "Well, kinda tall."

Having slept off whatever the hell was in that punch, Seely wandered downstairs.

And promptly began wondering what was in the punch besides chinchillas.

Dief bounded towards Seely, clawing at his leg.

Deep down, Seely was kind of a sap. He grinned and bent down to scratch Dief behind the ears. "Well, hey there."

So maybe the sappiness wasn't so deep.

Dief started licking Seely's hands like a the puppy he was.

"He likes you too!" Benton called out, eating some cereal. "Even though you're big."

"Hey, buddy." Seely totally didn't giggle at his hand being licked, really. "This little guy your dog?"

"Yeah!" Benton toddled over and looked up at Seely. "His name's Dief, it rhymes with leaf!"
