First Floor Lobby [Saturday Evening]

Benton woke up this morning to Dief licking his face and wanting to go outside. So, after sliding on clothes and tying his own shoes, Benton wandered into the lobby with Dief at his side.

He's got a book in front of him, a puppy at his side and cereal to eat.

"I'm Benton Fraser!" Benton pointed to himself. "And that's Dief. What's a Mountie, Mr. Seely?"

"A Mountie is like a cop," Seely said. "Only Canadian. I think there are horses involved somewhere."

"Horses?" Benton looked up at Seely. "I never seen a horse up close. Have you?"

"A couple of times, there aren't many horses in Pittsburgh," Seely said. "I think Pippi has a horse though."

"Wow." Benton reached for one of Seely's hands. "That's neat, Mr. Seely!"

"Uh-huh." Seely took hold of Benton's hand. "A big old white one, with spots."

"Did you wanna ride him?" Benton asked. "Like all over the world?"

"A little," Seely admitted. "But I'm more of a classic car man."

"I have a book on boats!" Benton said, pointing to his opened book. "Boats are cars?"

"Boat can be like cars," Seely said, looking at the book. "Cars that don't have wheels and go in the water."

Benton squeezed Seely's hand tighter. "Do you have a boat? Could I ride in your boat? Or your car?"

He was very excited about boats and cars and horses.

Seely put on a woeful expression. "I'm afraid I don't." Then he grinned. "But I can give you a piggyback ride?"

"Yay!" Benton immediately tried to climnb up Seely's arm. He was a little bit excited.

Seely laughed and went to lift Benton onto his back. "Does Dief want a piggyback ride too?"

"It won't be too heavy, will it?" Benton asked.

Seely shook his head. "Nu-uh. It'll be fine."

"Yay!" Benton nodded and made motions at Dief. "Doggie too then! Doggie too!"

Seely scooped Dief up and handed him to Benton. "You got a good hold on him?"

"Yep!" Benton made sure Dief was secure. "Go now!"

Seely started off. He totally might have been making horse noises.

"Wheeeeeeeee!" Dief barked out his approval as well.
