[2nd Floor Common Room, Thursday Morning]

Alec had apparently decided to take Hades' announcement to heart today, as he sat in the common room kitchen with a giant pot on the stove and many weetiny penguins running around. The stove was on, the water coming to a boil, and Alec was hungry.

[OOC: ...someone come tell him the penguins are not for eating?]

D had followed the sounds of minor commotion to the common room, only to find that Alec was seemingly at the center of things.

She scooped up some penguins from the counter on the far side of the stove to get them out of the way, then she hopped up and took a seat.

"Watching water boil is right up there with watching paint dry and grass grow, isn't it?"

D raised an eyebrow. "Do you really want to listen to them screaming as they boil to death after you drop them in?"

It was D's turn to do some nose wrinkling. "You're going to eat them feathers and all?"

"Boiling weetiny creatures to death?" Yes, she glossed over the breaking of necks first thing. "That's? Kinda sick my friend."

D rolled her eyes and picked up one of the weetiny penguins that were hiding behind her on the counter.

She held up it up to Alec. The penguin clung to her thumb in an attempt to hide behind that now.

"You'd rather go to all the trouble just described just so you can eat one of these little, cute, fur...feathery guys that most of the girls on campus think are adorable?"
