"Smeeeeeells gooooood," Cally said, wandering in.

"Thaaaaaank yooooooooou," Nadia replied, with a raised eyebrow. "I haven't seen you in awhile. How's it going, Cally?"

"Pretty well, given I discovered that in some universe I end up sexing Phoebe's dad," Cally said.

"Okay, that is crazy. Did you ever find your kid, by the way?"

There was only so much moping that Naomi could do in her room so she went to find something that could distract her. "Hey," she said quietly as she entered the common room.

Nadia gave Naomi a small smile. "Hey. How are you?"

Naomi nodded, "I'm okay now, the past couple of days haven't been great though,"

"Yeah. I know what you mean. You had a kid running around, too?"

Cally gave Naomi a wave. "Hey."

"How ya doing?" Cally asked.

Bel happened to pass through the common room.

He saw the brownies.

He fled in terror.

Nadia watched him go and licked some batter from her finger.

She wondered idly if they'd all ever gotten that bond figured out. She knew she hadn't felt anything in awhile. . . .

"Butt babies," Cally said, with a sage nod.

"Brownies?" Walter followed his nose.

"Of course. Thought I'd try making some of my own."

"Mmm." Walter went to give the batter a sniff. He wasn't going to say anything like "Are there peppers in them?" But he was thinking it.

"Don't worry, no hot sauce. I'm saving that for drizzling after they're cooked, so it'll be totally optional. I was thinking of adding mini marshmallows, though."

Walter looked up from sniffing batter (shh) and waved. "Hey."

"What are you doing to the batter?" Cally said, wielding her spoon.

Shortly after Bel, Anders happened to be passing through the fifth floor common room when he caught sight of the brownies.

Don't ask why he yelped and fled the room, possibly covering his backside with both hands.

Nadia watched this performance as well. After what Cally had said . . . "DO NOT!" She shouted after Anders.
