Kraken campfire, Tuesday evening

Judas was sitting at the Kraken campfire.

Okay, it was just Jude, but he felt so un-Jude when he was all goth-y that he started thinking of himself as Judas. Long story. Involving vomitting in a girl's mouth. And a vibrating chair.

He was actually on his way to change and wash his face off, but was getting there in his slow, mellow, Jude-like way. Which meant chilling by the campfire and fixing his skateboard.

Rikku was heading for the campfire and bouncing slightly to herself. Explosive workshop! Mutiny soon! Today was great.

"Hey, are you new here?" she asked the weird-looking guy at the campfire. "It's okay! I mean, hi, I haven't seen you around or anything. My name's Rikku."

Oh, neat! He had a skateboard. He could hang out with ...

With ...

Blink. Blink. Blink.

Jude smiled mellowly up at her. "Hey, bra. Like it?"

Rikku stared. For a few moments. And attempted to wrap her mind around, uh. Her ... boyfriend.

And then stood up carefully and set her hand on Jude's shoulder. "Listen. Uh. Whatever's wrong? We can talk about it. Things aren't this bad. H-honest. You, uh, it'll be okay, you know?"

Billy liked the campground. It reminded him of some of the happier times in his past. He walked past the Kraken campfire, then after a moment, walked backwards back past it again.

"Jude?"

"That's an interesting look for you." Billy tried not to be weirded out by the eyeliner which reminded him of someone else.

"Hey man," Peter said, sitting down by the fire. "How's the evening?"

Rikku noticed the new person - well, new to her, anyway - and waved excitedly. "Hiya! Hey! Are you one of the Peters?!"

Peter grinned and gave her a bow. "Peter Pevensie at your service."

"Pretty sweet," Jude replied mellowly. "Long time no chat, bro."

"Has been indeed," Peter said. "Good to see you, Jude."

"Hey Peter. Have you met the new Jude?"

"I liked the old one well enough," Peter said with a smile. "How do you do, Billy?"

Aravis was out for a walk, enjoying the night air. She lifted a hand in greeting to the assembled group. "Good evening."

"Good evening, Tarkheena," Peter said, standing up to bow when he saw her.

"Majesty," Aravis answered with a smile, dipping into a curtsy.

"Yo." Jude threw off a little wave.

Aravis blinked. "Yo?" she repeated, confused.

"Hiya!" Rikku waved. And then noticed Peter's greeting, and hopped up. "Uh, I mean, hiya, Tarkina?" And bobbed at her best attempt for a bow.

Aravis laughed. "An admirable effort, but not neccessary. Hello."

"Hi." Billy nodded. "Are you new or am I less observant than I thought?"

From out of a bush a fuzzy looking thing with a maniacal look in his eye dashes out of a bush.

"CHICKEN BOOK! CHICKEN BOOK!

This is followed by a couple of eggs thrown at Animal from said bush. The eggs hit him and now there's a couple of raw eggs mixed into his fur.

He whips his head around back and forth spraying egg yolk everywhere.

"HAH! HAH! HAH!"

Rikku jumped up, staring. "Whoa. Are you okay? What the ..."

And stared more. "Are ... you .... ?"

There wasn't a good ending to that sentence, so she just let it hang instead.

Aravis stared in horror.
