Kraken campfire, Tuesday evening

Judas was sitting at the Kraken campfire.

Okay, it was just Jude, but he felt so un-Jude when he was all goth-y that he started thinking of himself as Judas. Long story. Involving vomitting in a girl's mouth. And a vibrating chair.

He was actually on his way to change and wash his face off, but was getting there in his slow, mellow, Jude-like way. Which meant chilling by the campfire and fixing his skateboard.

"It's interesting," she remarked. "Rather different than home. I suppose you are not new?"

"No I've been here since September. It's a lot different than my homeworld too. Which is one of the reasons I like it. What's it like where you're from?"

"Quieter," she finally said. "And less...advanced, from all I've seen."

"Are you from the past then? Or another world altogether?"

"Another world," she said. "The 1015, in my land."

"1015 from the creation of the world? Or from some signifigant event?"
