Chupacabra Campfire [Tuesday Evening]

One workshop on explosions, one more day spent avoiding Luke and Gavin's back at the campfire. He's not hiding this time, but he's still prepared to run should anyone mention quarters or tigers or 'angels.'

After his workshop, he'd gone into town and picked up ten bars of chocolate. Yes, ten. Look, they might taste different, okay? Of course, Gavin's not thinking of chocolate plus fire equals a mess. He's too busy trying to decide which to try first.

"I think I'm starting to get the hang of this, then." Charlie grinned and connected the dots in her head from Z to Bridge. "So what's your favorite part of Fandom?"

Okay, his favourite part of Fandom was really pretty much that one specific person was there, but Charlie didn't know Xander, so she might not get the significance of that. "Probably the fact that people in general don't seem to think having abilities or powers makes you a freak," he says finally.

"I've been noticing that," Charlie said, then got a grip on her nerve. "Um. They even mentioned what I can do on the Radio last night, and no one's said a thing to me. I was really surprised."

"Move things," Charlie confessed. "With my mind, I mean." She looked at one of the little sticks not burning in the fire, and carefully, oh-so-gently, made it rise from the ground about a foot.

She was pretty sure the fire didn't blaze up. Mostly sure. Almost sure.

"Telekinesis ball," Bridge clarifies. "It's really, really sensitive to mental energy, so most people who are just learning start out with one. I've only been practicing that for a couple of years but I do have um, abilities that I was actually born with," he adds.

"Psychic," Bridge says, holding up a gloved hand. "I can read auras and emotions and thoughts and stuff. Sometimes I get visions," he shrugs.

Which is a little bit terrifying... "How does it work?" Charlie asked, keeping her voice curious. "I heard of one guy? Who can tell your future or past when he shakes your hand. Is it like that with you?"
