Sunday Evening - Curupira Campfire

It was their last night in the cabins. It was also raining. But Katara refused to let that stop her from trying to roast marshmallows one more time.

So any visitors to the Curupira campfire would find a merrily crackling fire, s'mores makings, and a strangely dry patch of ground around the fire.

Also a waterbender who was concentrating a lot on keeping that area dry.

Luke kissed her back. "Top ten for sure," he said with a mischievous smile.

"Much better." Tori smirked. "I guess my bribe worked, then. I'll have to remember that for future reference." She winked.

"For you, I'm very, very bribable," Luke said, tweaking her nose.

Tori grinned brightly. "And you know what? I think it just might work both ways." She chuckled, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

Luke snuggled closer and waved his hand out for the bag of marshmallows.

Hey, if it was a little impressive, that was fine too.

Yeah, it was very impressive. "I don't think I'll ever get over just how cool it is when you do that." Tori grinned.

Luke grinned. "I can manipulate the forces of nature to bring me snack food. I'm not entirely sure that's what Yoda had in mind when he trained me to pick up a starfighter."

"I wish I could do that." Tori chuckled, shaking her head in amusement. "Yeah, I don't think so either. But I guess it's one of the perks?"

"You'd think more Jedi would look like Hutts, then," Luke commented, handing the bag of marshmallows to Tori, "and weigh 300 kilos."

"Thanks." Tori smiled gratefully, taking a few marshmallows. "Well, I for one am glad they don't. Even if I don't know exactly what Hutts are." She chuckled.

"Think giant slugs with very tiny arms," Luke said, pulling his arms into his sleeves and waving them around ineffectually.

Luke was a dork.

"Oh, gross." Tori made a face, but laughed at Luke's display.

Luke was a dork and Tori loved it.

Luke laughed with her. "Somehow they've become very effective gangsters. I don't understand it."

"I honestly don't either." Tori shook her head in amusement. "Effective gangsters, really? Wow."

"Even with their weebitty arms," Luke said, waving them around again.

Which caused Tori to giggle again. "I doubt they could move very fast. People were actually afraid of them?" Yes, she was thought they were gross, but she wasn't exactly afraid of Hutts.

"Well, they have...sleds?" Luke said, frowning. He burst out laughing. "I don't know. They have a lot of money, always have. I guess it's just one of those things."

Tori nodded, understanding. She grinned. "I guess it's just another mystery."

Luke waved another marshmallow into the fire. "Like how Lando gets the girls," he agreed with a smile.

That caused Tori to laugh a little. "One of those guys, huh?" She had no idea who Lando was, but from Luke's comment she could guess as to how he acted.

"He's got this swooshy cape," Luke said. "I think that helps."

This...could be why Luke didn't have girlfriends all that often.

"Swooshy cape, huh?" Tori repeated, smirking just a bit. "I don't know, I can't see how that would be all that impressive. At least to me." She paused a moment. "Capes have nothing on Jedi, they're much more impressive." Tori nudged Luke lightly.

Luke grinned back, appeased. "Add a Jedi to a swooshy cape and we'd be completely irresistible," he teased.

Tori chuckled, nodding. "I bet you would be. Even more than you are now."

Luke blushed to the roots of his hair.
