Fourth Floor Common Room [late evening]

Aravis could, once again, not sleep. So tonight she was curled up on the couch (where she had absolutely not fallen asleep the night before) and was watching whatever had come up on the television while sipping tea and poking at a roll of something called Rolos that she'd handwavily gotten earlier, along with a heap of other candies.

She would probably welcome company. And maybe share her candy. Maybe.

Aravis squirmed away, her eyes wide. "No! No cutting off! Why would you do that? That's very unkind!"

Seely made another attempt for the candy. "Because you're going to crash and crash hard, and the more you eat the harder you'll crash."

"I will not!"

Her reflexes were not good enough to keep Seely from grabbing the candy.

The flailing, however, caused her to fall off the couch.

"...that was intentional."

Carefully holding the candy out of reach, Seely bent over to look at Aravis. "I warned you."

"I wanted to be on the floor," she insisted.

"Uh-huh," Seely said, clearly not believing.

"Now, give that back," she commanded, pointing at the candy and holding her hand out.

Seely looked at the candy thoughtfully. "No."

"Give it back!" she said. "I'll fight you for it!"

"Really?" Seely asked. "You're going to fight me for it?"

She nodded, climbing back onto the couch. "Give it back, please."

Seely very carefully selected one piece of candy, then held the bags out of reach. "No, I'm afraid, you'll have to fight me for them."

He ate the piece of candy.

"Give it back!" she said, pouncing and attempting to retrieve the candy.

Aravis had kind of forgotten she was much more wee than him. And also hadn't really accounted for the fact that Seely might not mind being tackled by her.

Seely...really didn't mind being tackled. "Nuh-uh," he replied, laughing and attempting to curl his free arm around her waist.

Aravis frowned more and made grabby hands at the candy, completely ignoring his arm and happily climbing all over him without thinking about it.

"You're cute when you're stubborn," Seely remarked, curling his arm tighter and continuing to keep the candy away from her.

"I shall never kiss you again if you don't give it back," she said, pouting.

Seely nuzzled at her jawline. "I promise I'll give it back," he said, while making no move to do so. "Tomorrow."

"But...I want it now," she argued.

"It'll still taste just as good tomorrow," Seely pointed out.

"But I don't want it tomorrow, I want it now," she said.

"But do you need it, right now?"

"Yes." Aravis was firm in this.

"Fine," Seely said. Though a minor juggling act he retrieved a single Rolo. "If you need candy that badly you can have some." He held the Rolo out for her to take.

With his teeth.

Aravis frowned. "...that is not fair." She reached to extract it with her fingers.
