Third floor common room, Monday night

Jaina was on the bored side. Even Jaina realized that Jaina on the bored side was not necessarily a good thing. This was why she was in the common room, vigorously flipping channels and occasionally muttering things like "...There's a channel for cooking?"

She obviously didn't spend a lot of time watching stuff like this back home.

Sure, he was from the fifth floor, but John wandered into the third floor common room in his boredom. "Hey, what's on?" he asked the girl who was totally in one of his classes.

"Is there supposed to be a channel for shopping?" she asked. "I've decided people have too much time on their hands."

"It's a strange concept, I know," he nodded, sitting down on the sofa. "You should try the food network. It's educational."

Pam was bored like a big bored thing, so she wandered upstairs to see if there was anyone around.

"Hi," she said, waving as she shyly took a seat.

"Hi," Jaina said. "Did you know people ride things called bulls for entertainment? And they broadcast it?"

"Rodeos," Pam said, nodding. "And in some bars? You can ride a mechanical bull. It's supposed to be fun."

John really wanted to pretend he hadn't seen Pam, but he couldn't be rude. "Hey, Pam. I promise there are no turnips here," he said holding up and waving his empty hands.

Pam bit her lip. "It's okay, my ex-boyfriend's kind of into the...." She mimed taking something up to her lips between her thumb and forefinger, and inhaling. "I understand."

Tori was feeling wide awake, so she decided to check out the common room. She had a feeling she find a few folks in there.

One day Jaina might stop immediately thinking of Tori as "Uncle Luke's girlfriend." And the day after that, she might get used to it.

"Hey," Jaina greeted her. "Want a turn at the remote?"

Liz hadn't been very social lately so she decided to change that. "Hello," she said as she entered after finding a common room that had people in it.

"Hi," Jaina greeted her. "I've found movies in languages I don't know."

Far less slimy than yesterday, Zack wandered into the common room. "Evening."

"Hi," Jaina said with a little wave. "You've caught me just in time to run out of things on television to comment on."

"Just find some small detail to rip to shreds," Zack suggested. "People can do that for years."

John waved at the guy he'd yet to meet. "Hey!"

"Have you been telling people the butterfly thing?" Pam asked in lieu of a greeting. "I keep getting calls about threesomes."

Mel grabs a spot on the couch and kicks her feet up. "So. What are we watching?"

"A pointless mix of everything," Jaina said. "I'm at a loss to why people actually watch this."

And yet she was still flipping channels.
