Fourth floor common room: Thursday morning [before workshops]

It was Thursday morning. It was Karal's last day of classes. He'd woken up early, as per usual, and for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to attempt breakfast.

Karal had never cooked before. Ever. But there were eggs in the fridge, and milk, and cheese. A further rummage turned up bacon, onions and some mushrooms, and, well, a lot of other things he didn't recognise. He left those where they were.

"I think I can make an omelette from these," he told Altra, who was perched on a chair, watching him. "I am fairly certain I know what one is."

:This will end well,: the 'cat drawled, shaking his head.

"No, I am sure I know what it is. Eggs and other things, all cooked up together." He surveyed the ingredients and nodded firmly, pulling out a frying pan. "It cannot be that difficult."

Altra facepawed. Luckily there was coffee already brewed, which Karal did know how to make.

[ooc: open, of course!]

Tensing significantly as Karal came near, Setsuna shifted her head, her gaze, looking downward instead of at him. It had been a while since she'd have to give this speech; because she'd given it enough to know how people responded to it. Enough to know that they wouldn't...couldn't...understand. Drawing in a breath, she leveled her eyes back toward him. "I...I know," she said, but then found she couldn't just deny it like that, to avoid the discussion. She continued on, despite herself. "I mean, we train to use our left as a secondary; our attacks are usually dual-wielding, so I know, even if my right was weak, I could always rely on my left without too much work...I was just..." She shook her head. "Being dramatic, I suppose. I'm sorry..."

Setsuna certainly couldn't argue that. "That is true; even if I'm just teaching, that is something..."

With a small breath of a laugh, Setsuna shook her head. "You're making it difficult for me to be sufficiently mopey here, Karal..."

Which was...really impressive.

Setsuna opened her mouth to insist that, no, she didn't mean it as a bad thing at all, until that last part came out and her mouth snapped shut and she blushed a little. "Well," she said, with another breath of a laugh, "if pastries are involved...."

"I work Monday," Setsuna said, shoulders falling slightly in disappointment. "Would Tuesday work instead?"

"Sounds good," Setsuna smiled, with a small nod, "despite the voice of Peter Pevensie in my head right now telling me about fifty million things wrong with allowing pastries in the salle. And another fifty million things being submitted by my own conscience."

"I was only joking, Karal," Setsuna smiled and shook her head lightly. "It should be fine."
