It was slowly ticking towards curfew but it wasn't bothering Luke overly much. He'd discovered a marathon of old Galaxy Quest episodes and was entirely too caught up in laughing until he cried at the terrible dialogue and sound effects.

He'd made popcorn--without burning it!--and even though he'd then dumped a bag of M&Ms into it, he was up for sharing.

"I'll bet not," Luke said, eyes going wide. "Did he try to hurt her?"

"I don't think so," Sam replied. "I think he'd know better than that. He seemed to just want to talk to her and let her know that he's aware of what's going on."

"Let me guess, she giggled at him and lied through her teeth?"

"That wouldn't surprise me at all. She probably pretended that she didn't do anything to any of us. I don't know how she does that with a straight face."

"A lot of practice?" Luke guessed. "Hermione said she did this back at her old school, too."

"It's too bad no one at Hermione's old school got rid of her on a more permanent level before she could come here," Sam grumbled.

"I think they tried to feed her to a giant or something. Maybe she's invincible," Luke said, looking deeply disturbed by the thought.

"I so don't want to think about that. There's no way, there can't be," Sam said, looking just as disturbed.
