Gym, Sunday Morning.

Seely had gotten up early for reasons that nothing to do with girlfriend-enforced temporary celibacy, and immediately gone down to the gym to work off the 'excess energy'.

He was in no way imagining any Princes of Archenland's faces on the heavy bag as he punched it.

"She told me! And I was there for the sequel!"

"Being told and being there to experience it are two very different things."

"You mean like you with girls?"

"Why don't you say it? Go on. Say you don't like me. I've done nothing but be courteous to you since we met and you've been nothing but beastly."

"Please, if I didn't like you I'd be hitting a lot harder."

"You're not hitting me harder because you're afraid of what Aravis would do if you beat me. You're afraid that she would choose me over you."

Oh look, a struck nerve. "You really think that, huh?"

"I think it might be why you're so angry at me when you don't even know me, yes."

"Fine, then."

And that would be Seely tackling Cor. He kind of fought dirty when he'd been hit in the insecurities.

Cor wasn't ready for it. He caught Seely at the last moment and went down hard, but managed to keep his head up. "You are insane!" he tried to yell, but only managed to wheeze it. He took what he learned from Corin and started pounding Seely's back with his fists.

Seely winced, but kept aiming blows at Cor's stomach. "You're the one who wanted me to hit harder."

"You hit like a girl!" Cor cried with pain evident in his voice. He tried to hit Seely in the head.

Seely shook his head, and in no way considered kneeing Cor in the groin. Instead he just attempted to get Cor in a headlock. "Please, girls fight even dirtier."

"Fine, you hit like a Calormen!" That was low and Cor knew it. He didn't get mad often anymore, but when he did, he was insufferable. Unfortunately for him, Seely's headlock succeeded.

They were certainly a sight to see. Two boys, shirtless, wrestling over Aravis.

Cor continued to struggle against the hold, but failed miserably. He was outclassed.

Aravis had been looking all over campus for her guests, having found two of them passed out on the lawn. She was worried she'd find Cor in the same state, though she hadn't imagined she'd see this when she walked in the gym.

"What are you doing?"

Seely had been about to noogie Cor when he heard Aravis. He looked up guiltily. "Um..."

"Seely! Let him go!"

Aravis continued staring, trying to take inventory of the situation.

Mumbling something remarkably like "He started it", Seely reluctantly let go of Cor.

Aravis hurried over, checking them both for injuries.

Deciding that Cor had gotten the worse of it (unsurprisingly), she gave him detailed instructions on finding the common room so he could get some ice and retire to her room.

After marveling with him a moment that yes, there were little boxes with ice in them that stayed cold all the time, Aravis sent him on his way with a brief prayer he wouldn't get too lost, and turned back to Seely as soon as Cor was out of earshot. "What the hell was that?"

"What was what?"

Because playing dumb was totally going to work. Especially when it was sulky too.

"Beating up Cor?" she said, still a bit shocked. "Really?"

"We were sparring," Seely said, even more sulkily.

"Not really a fair-looking fight. Nor did it look like an emotionless one."

"Not my fault," Seely mumbled, shockingly, in a sulky manner.

"Stop pouting and tell me what happened," she said, crossing her arms. "I thought you said you liked him."
