Fifth Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

"Can you hand me the ginger?" Ronan asked, as he ground some spices with a mortar and pestle. "The fresh, I mean." The fragrant smells of cooking curry were already pervading the common room, and probably making their way through the rest of the dorms. When Isabel handed over the asked-for ginger, he added some to the mixture in the mortar, and went back to grinding. "Thanks. I hope this isn't too spicy for whoever else comes along," he added.

"Well fortunately the vampires aren't an issue anymore," Isabel said. "I think I can deal with anything but vampires. Unless it Angel. He's easy to deal with."

"Why's he easy to deal with?" Meg asked.

"For one? Even though he's a vampire, he has a soul, so he's not going to immediately go for your neck. Unless your a nun. And even then, I think he'll only nibble," she chuckled, remembering a class a long time ago.

"Oh, that's pretty cool." Meg said. She was sure it wasn't cool for Angel, being a vampire and all. But hearing about a vampire with a soul was cool.

"Angel's a good guy. And a good friend. He's out in LA now," Isabel explained. "But he turns up here every once in a while. He looks a lot like...no, Seely Booth looks a lot like Angel."

"I'm always so happy to learn about other people who have had twins here." Meg said, grinning. "I just found out Dean has one today."

"I had one when I first came here. But then she left."

Isabel smiled and nodded. "Yeah, Alec. He's a nice guy."

"Lucky for me Jo's a pretty cool chick. A little weird a times but still cool." Meg said.

"I heard he was a good guy." she said. "Dean and I sort of, uh, had to discuss him today."

"Oh?" she asked. Isabel had her suspicions about why they'd be discussing Alec, but she'd wait for Meg to tell her.

"Yeah, he told me about his and Alec's relationship and said that he still wanted to see me and that Alec wouldn't care." she said. She sighed. "And I just said I was okay with that. It's weird, I know."

"Alec wouldn't. And it's not weird. I had a friend," Isabel smiled like she always did when she thought of Jack, despite how things had worked out. "He dated two people at the same time. Loved them both to death. They made it work."

Isabel didn't mention Anders and Bel and Phoebe because she didn't think Meg was going to be looking to date Alec as well, so why complicate things.

Meg laughed. "Good. I think he's got enough people liking him like that at the moment."
