Third Floor Common Room - Friday Morning

Chris was kind of cranky after his visit to Caritas with Lana last night.

So he decided to hole up in the common room with mindless daytime television and sugary cereal as company.


[open, as common rooms tend to be. Chris's crankiness shouldn't be long-term (unless you're Anders or Johnny)]

Second floor common room was out of orange juice (or he just couldn't find any) so Johnny wandered up a floor and headed straight for the fridge once he was in the room.

Fortunately for him, he didn't notice Chris yet.

"Hey, you!" Ino said cheerfully, "I'm still looking for ways to beat your fire!"

Johnny glanced over, carton of oj half way to his mouth. He grinned. "You'll have to keep looking, sweetheart."

"I don't give up easily!" Ino retorted, grinning, "I'll figure out something." Eventually. Maybe. "How've you been?"

Still grinning, he walked on over and settled himself in a large, comfy chair. "I'll be waiting when you do," he said with a wink. "I've been great, actually. You?"

"Mostly good." Ino said, rolling her eyes at the wink, "Bit blah yesterday, 'cause class made me think about a few things. Halloween was awesome though."

"Classes here actually make you think?" Johnny asked with a quirk of his brow. "I show up, get through them, and leave." He shrugged a shoulder. "Halloween was awesome, even though I had to work."

"In Ethics." Ino clarified, "We were talking about forgiveness and stuff." She leaned forward, "I went as a flying pig for a dare, what did you go as?"

"Forgiveness, uh. Let me guess, you don't do it so well?" It was just a guess, seriously. "A banana split," he grinned.

Ino crossed her arms and mock-glared at him. "We did temperance too." And she totally sucked at both. "I'm... not the best at either." Obviously. "... do I want to know how you managed to do that?"

"Did you? All right if you had to pick, which would you say you were better at?" Johnny wasn't good with either one either. "Probably not," he said with a wry chuckle.

"Erm." Ino thought about that, "... forgiveness. Barely." She eyed him, "I won't ask then. Kabuto went as a female nurse." Because she was totally telling as many people about that as possible. "Since I went as a flying pig, I mean."

"I'm not good with either. Seriously," he said and drank more of his oj. "Kabuto? I have no idea who that is? And I can't imagine your costume. Did you really fly?"

Chris facepalmed when he spotted Johnny. That was just what he needed this morning.

Ah, yes, then he noticed Chris. And the facepalming. "What's up, dude?"

"Not much," Chris grumbled.

"Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" Johnny smirked. "Cause I am like, in a great mood."

"Didn't sleep well," Chris admitted, eyeing Johnny. He was pretty sure he didn't want to know why Johnny was in such a great mood.

"That's too bad," he commented with sincerity. "Your bed comfortable?"

"Yeah, just had a lot on my mind."

"Things not going well with Lana?" Johnny asked because he was totally nosey.

Chris shrugged. "I think she's upset because she found out that Anders and I don't get along."

Johnny thought about that. "And that's a big deal why?"

"I'm not sure," Chris admitted. "I mean, she doesn't like my brother and I don't blame her and it doesn't bother me at all."
