Second floor common room, Monday afternoon

Jim had an experiment to conduct. He settled into the common room and turned on the History Channel. It seemed to be Titanic Day or something because everything they were showing was about the Titanic. That was weird.

It also had nothing to do with his experiment. He sat back, watched Modern Marvels, and wondered how he was going to work vole skeletons into conversation.

Jack plopped down on the chair, already having a wonderful week.

Big boat sinking summed up his mood.

"Hey," Jim said. "Have we met before?"

"I'm not sure," Jack said. "You don't look familiar what with the head not shaped like a pumpkin at least."

Sokka waved at Jack. "Hi there! Wasn't class today exciting?!?!"

"Let me guess...an unsinkable ship sank a hundred years ago today, or something?" Marco said as he came into the room.

"No, I think it was actually in April in 1912," Jim said. "I think they just wanted to have a random theme day today."

Marco made a face. "So close, and yet, so far. That's a random theme."

"It might be ten years since the movie was made, come to think of it," Jim said. "That might explain it."

Sokka waved at Marco. After the awkward silences in class today, it was nice to have... some awkward silences, but NOT in class.

"The History Channel is love," Jim said.

"Oooh, I think I know how this ends, too. But I won't spoil it," she told him, going to curl up on the couch. "Feeling better?"

"Much. I even practiced for football yesterday without dying," Jim said.

"All TV is good," Sokka countered.

"Shoddy workmanship," Sokka said as he sat down. "They should have used more pitch."

"And not hit the iceberg," Jim said. "That ruined everything."

Sokka threw his hands up in the air. "They hit an ICEBERG?!?!??!! Who was the navigator??? Was the lookout drunk?!??!"

"It was dark and the iceberg snuck up on them," Jim said. "If you stick around all afternoon you'll probably hear the whole story about fifty times."
