Gym, Sunday Afternoon

Armed with a bottle of water and a towel, John had headed down to the gym for his daily workout. Just because he was on vacation didn't mean he could afford to slack off. Besides, he knew it would be a while before Rodney got himself together after their trip and maybe he'd see some old friends.

Like his room, the gym was just as he remembered it. As he ran laps, John wondered if the students here still had a flag football club.

"Expecting a little Skywalker soon, too," he said, practically vibrating with pride.

"Really?" Aravis smiled widely. "Your first?"

Luke nodded. "Things had gotten...complicated, so we weren't sure this was going to happen for us. We're very, very excited."

And a little terrified.

"Our second," she contributed. "It can be scary, the first. How is she doing with the pregnancy?"

Worry flashed in Luke's eyes. "It's not going to be easy," he admitted.

"Has she thrown anything at you?" Aravis asked knowingly.

"She's a Jedi, too," Luke said, "so I'm worried when she doesn't."

"How far along?" Aravis asked, rubbing her abdomen as the baby kicked again.

"A week and a half," Luke said with a huge smile. "Jedi kind of get a heads-up faster than most people."

Aravis stared.

"I was three weeks before I knew," she said, frowning. "Not fair at all."

A small smile played across his lips. "I hear that a lot."

"It's true. Do you know what you're having?" Aravis asked skeptically, curious about how well the Jedi thing worked.

"As soon as he's decided, we'll know," Luke said. "Right now he's a ball of cells."

He grinned. "Or, if you ask Mara, she."

"We're having a girl," Aravis told him confidently. "Already got a little boy at home, and this is a girl. I'm sure of it."

If Luke was getting a different impression from the Force, none of it was showing in his expression. "Do you have names picked out?"

"In a sense. We named our son after our brothers," she said, smiling a little. "And we each want to name this one after friends. We'll have to figure it out when the time comes."

"Have a few of each picked out, just in case," Luke advised. "That's how my father did it."
