5th floor common room, Friday Night

Romeo Montague had had a strange day in a strange week of what had been a pretty strange year.
Inspired by an episode of Vanessa Saturn, he decided a drinking game was in order. Specifically "I Never." And so invitations, written in a slightly florid hand, were slipped under dorm room doors -- some of new friends, some belonging to complete strangers.

There was a stash of booze set up under the coffee table, and Romeo sipped a rum-and-cider as he waited to see if anyone would actually show up.

[OOC: Fair warning per the admins -- this is a high school. You get punk in drublic, or the converse, you might get punished. So ... don't get caught?]

Turtle looked doubtfully, frowning somewhat, at the offer of a drink. "That....wouldn't happen to be a drink of an alcoholic persuasion, by chance, would it?"

"not if you do not want it to be," Romeo offered, with his most charming smile and some panic in his eyes. The school wouldn't have rules about this, would they?

"Well," Turtle said, straightening a little as she came into the room. She took a seat on one of the arms of the sofas. "Alcohol can be very bad in copious amounts, you know..." She was, however, noticing quite a group of people blossoming around the room, and her face was turning a little pink with embarrassment. She should have just kept walking to Jeff's room. She, instead, seemed to be finding herself trapped in a party. One of those parties...

"No copious amounts," Romeo promised. "Only ... sips." Of course, it would not be his fault if the sips added up.

He diverted himself by reaching down, while his eyes assessed Turtle. "Hard lemonade, perhaps?" he asked.

"Is that any good?" Turtle wondered, frowning. "I mean, just so long as it's not rum. Ugh." Her face scrunched up. "Bad memories there. But if it's not gross like rum and if I just have a little, itty, tiiiiny bit, it's okay."

"Just a bit," she emphasized. Because that was absolutely, totally, without a doubt all she would have.

"Many say it tastes like soda," Romeo reassured her, sidestepping the whole question of whether rum was gross or not. He got a cup and caaaaarefully poured in exactly half of the bottle, then handed her both the cup and the bottle. "I hope that will not overintoxicate you."

Turtle shook her head a little. "No," she mused, giving a weak smile as she took the cup. The pink in her face might have been turning a little green. "I think that's a very acceptable and moderate amount. Thank you."

"Moderate indeed," Romeo echoed, before dashing off to greet someone else.
