First Floor Rec Room, Sunday Evening

Neon posters with arrows and the words, free food, pointed students to the First Floor Lounge where more posters with strange stick figures proclaimed that the Flag Football Club was sponsoring a Super Bowl Party.

The lounge had been decorated in blue and gold. There was a huge football-shaped cake from J,GOB and a wide variety of party sandwiches, chips, and dips laid out on tables along with beverages.

Naturally, there was also a television, tuned in to the Super Bowl.

[ooc: YAY PARTY FOR EVERYONE! The food is moddable as generic football party food (there are most definitely Cheetos, but not the creepy chocolate covered ones, thank you).]

He made a face at her. "No, but if they listened to me, things would go better for them."

"You know they probably have a lot of people saying that same exact thing..." she said, teasing.

"Eat some Cheetos," he said, pushing his plate toward her.

"Oh, so this is what I worked so hard on those signs for?" she asked, taking one and studying it critically.

"That's right," he nodded. "And because you worked so hard, you deserve all the Cheetos you can eat."

"I'm glad you recognize that," she said, because making signs was such hard work. Still a little unsure about the Cheeto, she tried it, finally saying, "It's okay."

"I guess I won't have to do any supply runs," he teased, given her response. "The taste of snack food tends to improve over time."

"It becomes an acquired taste, you mean," she said.

"Well, yes," he replied. "I just used more words."

She smiled. "Well, it's good to know that someday, I too will enjoy... orange... crinkly things."

"It's inevitable," John said. "Like understanding sports." No, he didn't make sense, it wasn't just her.

Jaina looked over at him. "Understanding sports is inevitable?"

"If you watch enough of it," he said. "Like curling."

"I still hardly understand that one," she admitted. "But it was fun."

"It really was," he agreed. "What don't you understand about curling? Other than the purpose."

"The purpose. The rules are easy enough. The 'why' still gets me, though."

John chuckled, "Honestly? I think people must've been really bored when they made up that game. That doesn't explain why they keep playing, though."

"Still bored?" she guessed.

"Can you imagine being that bored?"

"No," she said immediately. "No, I think my brain would have shut down first of its own volition."

"Good thing you keep so busy," John said, crunching on a Cheeto.

"I'd say so," she said. She reached over for another Cheeto, studying it again critically, like she wasn't going to put it in her mouth unless she understood it.

John bit his lip, holding back a smile. "It's just a Cheeto."

"Do I want to know why they curl in on themselves like that?" she wondered.

He leaned in to whisper, "It's probably best if you don't ask that question."
