April Fools Party, Third Floor Common Room - Tuesday Night

The TV was hooked up to play only music videos and had a microphone set up with it, the pizza was fresh and tasty and there was plenty of soda for all.

A sign outside the common room read:

There was a party, so Brooke was there and nicely prettied up. Had to see how Fandom kids did this sort of thing and all.

"I think you missed a spot while you were shaving," Ferris said, having caught a glimpse of the cream and mistaken it for shaving cream.

"I will never turn down a drink," she replied. Of course, that usually applied to alcoholic drinks. "What've you got?"

He blinked and turned to smile at Ferris.

"I don't shave," he said, patting his cheek before his finger brushed against the offending bit of creme. He popped it into his mouth thoughtfully.

"Oh. One of the desserts fell on my head," he explained.

"You should get an umbrella for that. One of the heavy duty ones. A lightweight umbrella could probably handle coconut sorbet, but I don't think it'd stand up to profiteroles."

"Soda in all the flavors of the rainbow. I'd mention them by name, but I don't want to be party to product placement without a contract." He gestured to the table with cans of soda of all kinds. "Caffeine or no caffeine?"

Holding her hand, he grinned down at her and said quietly, "How do you think Eve would take it if we told her we got married, for real?"

"Something made of cream and fruit," he said.

He quirked.

"Though I wouldn't say it's the pinnacle of human culinary development. It's very good, but sometimes dinner is better than dessert. It depends on your mood, your taste for the moment..."

He looked away.

"My apologies for going on."

He raised a brow, grinning with a wicked, teasing gleam in his eye. "... but for an April Fools, it would get her pretty good, wouldn't it?"

"I wonder why diet is a vice sometimes. I mean, I get the immediate effect, but you can get something good out of it at the end. With caffeine and other vices, you end up with leached bone marrow and cavities or needing liposuction."

"Hey guys, help yourselves to the drinks. There's plenty of pizza to go around too. Try to watch out for flying dessert. I hear it's going around today."

"Well, generally," he said, leaning against a convenient wall, "it's more filling. You can eat more dinner and keep body and soul together more easily than if provided only dessert. You can only eat so much before you start to feel ill."

He grinned.

"Though that isn't to say I don't make all manner of desserts to keep in my bag if anyone should need it. A bit of sugar can do a world of betterment sometimes."
