Andromeda campfire, Monday evening

Jaina hadn't really had the concept of summer that most people had. There hadn't ever been a break from school for her, and half the time she'd be on a different planet that wouldn't even have proper summer weather. But not having classes till later in the week certainly helped with the summer feel, so that was why Jaina was starting a campfire, and wondering if she should have gotten marshmallows or something first. Oops.

"Yeah, total newbie. I'm Lois," she said. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to m-meet you as well," Hinata said, "if t-this isn't your usual cabin then w-what is?"

"Lupus," she said. She still felt kind of weird by having a cabin by that name. "What's yours?"

"Draco," Hinata said with a nod, "w-which is that way." She pointed.

"Yeah, I think I saw it earlier," Lois said. She couldn't get over how shy this girl was. She wasn't used to it. "You liking it here so far? You come in contact with anything weird yet?"

"I-I'm not really sure what to think," she confessed, "b-but Ino-san is here, and the tortoises were very sweet. I-if rather greedy."

"Greedy?" Lois asked. "How so?"

"I w-was making rice," she explained, "and they decided that t-they wanted it."

And she'd given it to them.

That got a giggle. "Yes," Hinata said, "though none of it made any sense."
