Andromeda campfire, Monday evening

Jaina hadn't really had the concept of summer that most people had. There hadn't ever been a break from school for her, and half the time she'd be on a different planet that wouldn't even have proper summer weather. But not having classes till later in the week certainly helped with the summer feel, so that was why Jaina was starting a campfire, and wondering if she should have gotten marshmallows or something first. Oops.

"Surfing is, you know, surfing," he explained. "You have like this board, and you have to wax it -- I use Sex Wax cause the name is just, you know." He laughed.

"Anyway, you ride waves on the board. It's a lot of fun."

"I-I've never heard of anything like that before," she said, while trying not to blush too badly at the name.

"Well, I can totally show you how sometime," he said. He didn't actually expect her to take him up on it, so he didn't mind offering.

Hinata looked mildly alarmed at that idea. "I-I don't think it would agree w-with me to try it."

"You'll change your mind once you see it," Kevin said. "It's awesome. Do you think there are sharks in these waters? Not that I'm afraid of sharks, but it would suck to lose a leg or something."

Hinata had no idea what a shark was.

"M-maybe check with the l-locals first?" she suggested.

"Or maybe we could just toss out some raw meet and crap into the water and see if anything comes up to eat it," he said.
