Andromeda campfire, Monday evening

Jaina hadn't really had the concept of summer that most people had. There hadn't ever been a break from school for her, and half the time she'd be on a different planet that wouldn't even have proper summer weather. But not having classes till later in the week certainly helped with the summer feel, so that was why Jaina was starting a campfire, and wondering if she should have gotten marshmallows or something first. Oops.

"That'll stop soon," Luke promised. "The students here are from all over and the older ones are used to seeing beings outside their realm of experience. The newer ones will learn." He smiled. "Tell me more about Thundera."

"Well, it's a really big planet," said Lion-o. He'd spent little time outside the main city and hadn't seen a lot of Thundera for himself. "Everyone on Thundera is either a cat or a Snarf, and my father is the Lord of the Thundercats. Everyone looks up to him."

"Snarfs are furry and they walk on four legs and they take care of people," explained Lion-o. "Mine wouldn't let me come here without him."

Luke frowned, trying to get a mental image. "Like a dog?"

"Not quite," said Lion-o, thinking of the few dogs that he had seen. "They have really powerful tails and they're more agile than a dog. And even though they have four legs, they can walk on just two of them."
